Personally I found the bed & pillows too hard but that’s personal preference and wouldn’t stop me staying again

It has recently been renovated and the pub, dining & bedrooms were all decorated well. Lovely stay for a very reasonable price. I was expecting a single bed as had booked a single room but had a double which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked!

I would have preferred a quieter room

It’s not a big chain. The look and feel is more Country House. Bed was really comfie. Kitchen and restaurant staff were really helpful and accommodating. Only slight issue was there was a degree of noise in my room from the coming and going of other guests because of where I was situated.

The Sunday morning full English was very good but the 40 minute wait for it was a little frustrating. Probably due to temporary staff shortages as the subsequent lunch order was fine.

We enjoyed a pleasant night’s stay in the George Hotel. It was ideally located for our purposes and it provided warm and comfortable accommodation. Stonehenge is very close by.

Very bright lights in dining area that shine in eyes if you are seated in certain position, but we just asked to be moved which we were allowed to do. Carpark might be a bit crowded at busier times of year, but we managed to find a space.

Everything was great. Lovely hotel with nice decor, comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious. Carpark fairly big.

Just a thought in our room we had 2 chairs one a armchair the other not could really have done with 2 armchairs to relax better than sitting bolt upright. But no deal breaker.

Close to sightseeing locations😀hotel really eye catching from the road,lovely interior,the bedroom we had spacious and bed really comfortable great nights sleep. Hotel staff worked tirelessly to please and the service was brilliant,the 2 waitresses we had Hannah and Grace were faultless.can say we will return no question about that later in the year.all the back up services housekeeping,kitchen,were of equal value to the smooth running of this hotel. Excellent time had there.and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Overall there was nothing much to complain about which is great. One observation, it did appear to need more staff as the ones working had to cover too many job roles. Just a minor gripe the breakfast on the second morning had over overcooked.eggs.

incredible staff, all very friendly, happy and attentive. Grace was outstanding for her customer care and attention to detail she is a real credit to the The George a complete gem! Hardworking, and went the extra mile. We had a really comfortable room, with lovely decor and we slept well. The building had been refurbished to such a high standard a wonderful stay. Lots of parking available and you receive a warm welcome from everyone Briony greeted us on arrival and really made us feel special. The food was exceptional.

Location is great not far from Salisbury and all the areas site seeing. The Hotel is fabulous. Staff are very friendly. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely will return.

The quality of the renovation of this hotel is really excellent. The evening meal and breakfast were both really nice meals.
