Thornes Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. The attention to detail is second to none, and the fixtures and fittings are beautiful. The staircase is so lovely, and the overall finish is very high spec. Everything you need has been thought of without it feeling cluttered. You could do a different walk from the doorstep every day, and the local area is beautiful. The bed is a solid oak frame and felt very luxurious. The conteporty decor is very tasteful, and sitting out the front in the sunshine was just perfect. It's one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in, perfect for a couples get away. Also, great WiFi, which is always a bonus! Will definitely return. Thank you, Sam and Adrian.

Hi, I just wanted to make you aware that I fell down all the stairs on the last night during the night as the cottage is very dark and the stairs are right next to the toilet, I just lost my footing. Quite battered and bruised but maybe a stair gate at the top might work just as we had to keep the blinds shut so my husband could get to sleep as he doesn't like any light coming in from the window. Just a thought but didnt detract from our lovely weekend at your cottage, the facilities or the hosts . This was just a mishap on my part

Beautiful property. Facilities and decor are of a very high standard. Felt warm and homely with everything you might need provided. Host very welcoming. On hand as needed but respectful of privacy. Peaceful setting but easy travel access. Brilliant stay and will definately visit again.

From the moment I landed, communication was brilliant with the hosts, the cottage was exactly like the photos. Extremely cosy and comfortable with absolutely everything you needed. I really enjoyed my week's stay, it was relaxing and peaceful and just what I needed. The cottage was extremely clean and well kept, I would love to book here for future visits back to Huddersfield.

It was perfect for what we needed. We stayed here for 2 nights which was before and on the day of our wedding! The venue was just down the road, so the cottage was idyllic. The cottage id beautiful and in a nice quiet area. It has everything you need and is very well equipped. Sam & Adrian are so lovely and so helpful! Nothing is too much trouble. We would reccommend this place to anyone wanting a cosy few nights away.

Cottage was spotless and cosy and in a beautiful area. Sam and Adrian were fantastic hosts,was great to have them next door incase i needed them. Very nice welcoming hosts. Absolutely will be going back.

Everything what me & my wife needed for a short getaway. Hosts were amazing (great couple) made the apartment feel like a home (wife loved the personal welcome sign & I loved the muffins "yum"). Definitely be coming again. Privacy was brilliant. Location will depend on if you drive however, there was a bus available. Parking was next to the apartment. The size of the property was beyond our expectation. Beautiful green scenery great for walking. Easy access to enter property (code to get key).

Everything! ❤️ Super cute yet spacious with outside private patio. Lovely welcome from Sam, with easy key access. Parking right outside. Comfy bed. Controllable heating. Really peaceful. Good wifi. Everything felt new and really clean. We had two great nights in this beautiful cottage in a stunning area. Perfect for friends, couples or as a solo traveller. Highly recommended. 😀

Nothing to dislike.

Lovely accommodation, very clean and comfortable and has everything you need for a few days away. The welcome treats were a really nice touch. The host provided clear instructions re parking and getting into the property which made it very easy for us. We'd have no hesitation staying at Thornes Cottage again in the future.
