The room was not very clean - the sofa and carpet were dirty and I found a great clump of hair and dust in the cupboard, attached to the hairdryer. The bed had only one thin sheet and no mattress protector and I found hair and staining on the bed linen too. I didn’t complain as it was only for one night but had it been a longer stay I would have asked to change room. The en-suite bathroom however was very clean.

The staff were lovely, very welcoming, helpful and friendly. I got a free upgrade to stay in the main hotel site (originally I had ‘cottage room’ booked which I was told was in a smaller building to the rear). The cooked breakfast was good and parking was only a small extra charge (£5). The room was quite large and had aircon.

The professionalism and friendliness of the staff made our short stay a very pleasant one. We were attending a wedding reception close by, so location was fantastic, with staff arranging our transport. The room was larger than we expected, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was fine, I will never understand guests who complain of imperfection when not booking 5 star. This hotel is most definitely value for money and more.

My stay at Trafford Hall Hotel was marked by warmth and hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering friendly and helpful service throughout my visit. The room was equipped with essential amenities like a hairdryer and iron, adding convenience to my stay. However, the absence of a fridge was a minor setback, as I had anticipated one for storing perishable items. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, and I would consider returning for the exceptional service provided by the staff.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. They ensure we got all that we need. Its old building but preserve well and renovated here and there, so you feel comfortable. The room is also spacious considering the cost. Its very near to old trafford stadium

A lot of the fittings were a bit tired - slightly loose or wobbly. But that was OK for me, didnt spoil my stay. Dont mind that in a budget hotel, but this wasnt a budget hotel as far as my price range is concerned...

Great location, fab to get parking on site (but £4/day), easy access to where I wanted to get to - and the chunky chips in the restaurant were the crispiest fluffiest chips I've had for ages! Just what I wanted! Good nights sleep, enough shower pressure, breakfast from 7.00 tick tick tick.

Air conditioning in the room came on automatically, so we would need to turn it off again. No big issue though.

Nice location, only a 2min tram ride into the city. Plenty of parking available, even in the weekend. Room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and coffee was good. Would definitely stay again.

The room upgrade was appreciated and fine but improved when the kitchen closed as their extractor fans were noisy and smelly Some of the renovations could have been completed better for example a new door on the bathroom would probably have been cheaper than trying to repair the old one. Silicone coming away too ... TV need retuning of Freeview channels

Really nice old hall that has been renovated . Spacious bedrooms good car park ( paid) hotel was clean and comfortable and is what we needed

the only thing that bothered us a lot during our stay was the strong smell of mold, we believe it was some infiltration in the wall or under the bed.

I liked the reception of the staff and also the environment

    I liked everything.

The inside of the hotel is much better and more beautiful than the outside makes it seem! It's very grandiose inside (you would NEVER be able to tell from the entrance). The room is comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good, though I wish non-pork options were provided. Location is 10 mins from Manchester Piccadilly by car, but about 45 min by foot.

The bed was extremely hard and made it difficult for us to sleep. This may not be a problem for some who prefer an extra hard bed but for us it prevented a good night's sleep.

The room was extremely spacious, well presented and clean. All facilities were provided including tea and coffee, iron and hairdryer.
