Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNothing to dislike.
Quiet rural location on a working farm. The spacious (Blackberry Cottage) cottage was very clean with quality bedding and towels etc.. The fresh scones, jam & cream on arrival was a nice touch from the friendly, helpful owners. I very rarely rate accommodation as a 10, but this definitely is.

United KingdomThe accommodation was spotlessly clean and had great kitchen facilities with everything you'd need including washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine etc. The beds were incredibly comfy. The games room and childrens play area kept our grandchildren entertained and there is also a laundry room with tumble dryer. Feeding the pygmy goats was a favourite pastime for our youngest. The views are lovely and the location is extremely peaceful. A great place to come back to after a busy day exploring. The hosts, Marilyn and Lecester, are very welcoming and committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Would definitely stay here again!

United KingdomHonestly there is Nothing that we didn’t like!!
It is spacious and the owner made so much extra effort to make our holiday extremely enjoyable. Prior to arrival, owners sent a lovely message to let us know. On arrival, there were home made scones ready for us. Each morning, Lester and Marilyn will be at the pet corner to spend time with the family and children at all ages enjoyed it! I even for the first time fed the goat milk. It was a lovely atmosphere to meet other families and to share the holiday tips. I would love to rate Lester and Marilyn more than a 10 as they have gone out their way to make their guests feeling welcomed and comfortable. The cottage is beautiful and such a good value for money too!! Thank you to both of you for being extremely helpful during our stay!

United KingdomJust the fridge freezer for 6 people in our cottage could have been bigger as in self catering we cook twice a day. But just a personal preference. Everything was amazing though.
Everything. A fabulous property, facilities, location and owners. Amazing.

United KingdomBlackBerry cottage was quiet, clean and spacious. On site there was a well equipped games room, a laundry room (for those without laundry facilities in property ) and also a scavenger hunt around the fields. The owners Lester and Marilyn were exceptionally welcoming. Every morning we were able to feed the animals and Lester gave eggs from the chickens to my children.

United KingdomNothing, can't fault a thing!
Scone, jam & cream waiting for us on arrival - a lovely touch. Rose cottage was perfect- clean, comfortable and cosy. Equipped with all we needed. Loved having the little private garden - I'd love to try the bbq in better weather. Amazing views of countryside, newborn lambs and gorgeous Cornish hills. Perfect location for peace and quiet but also great position to visit everywhere you'd want to go. Hosts Marilyn & Lester were friendly and helpful. Definitely ranks as one of best places I've stayed - a home from home that made you wish you lived there! Enjoyed some clear starry nights and lovely warm sunny days between rainy patches. Just what we needed, wish we could of stayed longer.

United KingdomThere was nothing and I have never said that before.
The place was spacious. Comfortable and felt like home form home. Had everything we needed and more. Arrived and there was a cream tea waiting plus milk and teabags so we could settle in quickly The farm is lovely. In a quiet area and also has the laundry room and games room. We didn't need it as Blackberry cottage had a washer. Would recommend and easing the guest book a lot of the people with children had enjoyed seeing the farm animals too Lighting was good in outside areas.

GermanyWe had a very pleasant trip to Cornwall and Tregolls had a lot to do with it. There was everything there, what we needed. No wish was unfulfilled. Lester and Marylin were super friendly and caring hosts. The farm is perfectly located to explore Cornwall and is also perfect to relax and calm down. You can hardly hear any noise besides cows eating grass :) We would highly recommend the cottages at Tregolls Farm to anybody, especially to families with kids

GermanyThe streets to reach the farm are very narrow and you have to drive very carefuly. But don´t be afraid, after a short time you get used to it. All the other road user we noticed, had driven considerately and responsible.
The cottage is completly fit out in every detail (more than we expected). If something is missing or if you need some help or information you only need to contact Marilyn or Lester. A good location to explore the surroundings (North- and Southcoast, Bodmin Moor, ...). A beautiful place, if you (or the children) like animals which you can feed and stroke.
