Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI liked everything it was near perfect . If I had to mention one thing it would be the oven knob which could do with replacing as broken.
Comfortable well equipped caravan in a beautiful quiet position. Perfect location for going to so many places of interest.

United KingdomThe caravan as a whole was not as clean as I would have expected for a property that is being let out. The bathrooms were in need of a deep clean and the hoover smelt absolutely horrendous when used. We tried to sweep instead but were unable to find a dustpan and brush.
The caravan was very nicely located, a large green space on one side and a short walk from the sit facilities. There was plenty of space with 2 bathrooms to choose from and a cosy feel all round. Roger left a bottle of bubbly on the table for us which was a lovely surprise for our Christmas break. Roger was also very good at communicating in the run up to our stay which was appreciated.

United KingdomPaying for a pass to use the facilities. Yes, I can appreciate having to pay for the gym, sauna pool, etc. but we never used them but still had to buy a 3 day pass to use the bar, which at over £20 per person is a joke.
An excellent location and a very nice holiday home with all the comforts of home.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike.
It was a beautiful park home in a secluded private corner of the park. It was large, well equipped and comfortable. One of the bedrooms even had an ensuite with a bath. We just got back from a long weekend. It was home from home. Good Central heating system and hot water. Separate shower room. Dog friendly. WiFi throughout the park. Supermarket on site. Great location for New Forest and coast. All within 15-20 minutes drive. We will definitely be back.

United KingdomThe only down side I can mention really is that there is only seats for 3 in the lounge, an armchair and a 2 seater sofa bed, which was quite uncomfortable to sit on. Whilst there was only 4 of us so it was fine there is only 4 chairs around the dining table and it can be a 6 berth.
The caravan was exceptionally well appointed, everything you could need was there. The main bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on (except my own!). Excellent water pressure for showers, the site is lovely quiet and peaceful and perfect with the little grass area next to us for the dog to run around on. Plenty of room and storage.

United KingdomPark passes are quite expensive and some of the staff could do with extra training on giving good customer service. Food not all that either... might be better to find a nice restaurant off site or cook your own which we mostly did as the Lodge had all the appliances needed. Apart from that all was great! 👍
The lodge was very nice indeed... homely and cosy It had everything we needed and more and it suited the six of us perfectly. Loved the location too... right next to the forest, and with the private bit of garden for the grandkids and dog to play on, everyone was catered for. The lodge is just a short walk to Reception for park passes (if you want to use the facilities) and there are some lovely walks to be had in the nearby Hurn Forest. Overall the site is very well kept... nice on the eye and clean and tidy. It is definitely a great place to bring the family. There are lots of places off site to visit depending on how far you want to travel. Seeing the New Forest ponies at Beaulieu was an absolute bonus for us... they're so beautiful! All in all a wonderful stay and would highly recommend a visit to Violet 28 at Oakdene Forest Park.

United KingdomThe caravan wasn’t quite as clean as the last time we visited. There seemed to be quite a bit of pet hair on the cushions. Shorefield, owners of the campsite charge a ridiculous amount of money for day passes (£13 approx for an adult) to use the facilities so we didn’t use them. We were unable to pay to just use the pool.
The location is ideal for visiting the New Forest, Poole and Bournemouth. The caravan is in a quiet spot on the site and you can do forest walls direct from the park. Ideal location to take bikes. Local amenities are good with several supermarkets within a couple of miles, Starbucks up the road and some pubs within easy reach
