Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This is a really lovely cottage. Picture perfect. Lovely cosy lounge with TV, plus another lounge which we enjoyed as a quiet space. Two very good-sized bedrooms. The bed was comfy. Wonderfully decorated with lots of stunning art plus ceramics and glass, too. Great kitchen and dining area with everything you need. There is a small garden at the back which we enjoyed in the evenings having a drink in the sun. Owners left a few sweet treats on arrival. Short walk to local pubs, cafes and restaurants in Fishguard. There is a large co-op not far from the cottage. It was a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire.

The cottage was spacious, stylish, and beautiful, filled with amazing art and artefacts that were also for sale. There are gardens front and rear, and it's located on a quiet road, close to the town centre of Upper Fishguard. A welcome sign and gift were a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The owner is very helpful and responsive to any queries or requests. We loved it and would stay again.

United KingdomI was a little bit scared of the stairs, but got used to them.
The cottage is sooo lovely! It is as shown in the pictures. Beautiful inside and out. Stayed for 3 days and used it as a base to roam around the area. Would definitely recommend staying in this cottage. It's absolutely fully equipped with everything! Gorgeously decorated and very comfortable. 😊

AustraliaThere is no desk for laptop work (despite the desk mentioned in the facilities) so had to use the kitchen table however the WiFi signal didn't extend as far as the table. A range extender is required or relocation of the router. Power points were in poor location but it is a very old house. I needed to wear a helmet to go upstairs and walk about the house but it is OK for short people. A number of the internal doors and the front door jam and are hard to open and close so they need some maintenance attention. The only bathroom is a bit small and probably due for a refit. The heating works well but the thermostat is a wireless device and when we arrived it was located next to the kettle which gave a false reading (easily fixed by relocating).
Nice 17th century cottage that was well decorated with quality fittings. Good location with easy walking access to all parts of the village. Although it only has street parking there was plenty out front or 24 hour parking for GBP3 per day close by. Includes Netflix streaming TV (although the TV is way too small for the room). Very responsive hosts. We were given earlier checkin and later checkout (not always available depending on other bookings and time of year). The cottage is clean and tidy. The cottage has a very functional washer/dryer and very good dishwasher. The hosts supplied some very welcome basic pantry items and had fresh flowers for our arrival. The WiFi is strong and fast but has limited range.

United KingdomBeds were most uncomfortable - both edges tipped you towards the edge and there was a big ridge down the middle. Both the same.
Great location, cottage quirky and beautifully finished. The art work was wonderful and the host had left a little welcome gift, which was a lovely touch. The garden would be lovely to sit in if the weather was good.

United KingdomA very minor observation but because we self catered, we found a couple of items were missing from the kitchen utensils including a cheese grater and veg peeler.
The cottage was full of lovely bright art and knick knacks creating a very happy vibe. It was also perfectly situated for our latest leg of the Welsh Coastal Path which is truly magnificent in these parts! Communication with the host was very positive and some treats on arrival were very much appreciated!

United KingdomOnly small points to make Bed a bit too firm in room we chose to use. But slept ok. Bed was bigger in that room. 2 Steps either side to both rooms once on small landing area to bedrooms and bathroom handrail would be safer. So beware if in your later years😁. However do not be put off, it is an old property and is lovely.🥰
Loved the decor, well equipped, nice sitting areas and dining area, Good position of property in Fishguard Handy to visit the rest of pembroke. No parking on property but this is really not a problem, as plenty of spaces on road, safe to park.

United KingdomNothing. Everything was just as we like it.
This is in a perfect location for walking distance to local amenities and pubs. The cottage has a cosy feel with lovely art and pottery on display. We actually bought a painting that we both liked and are so pleased with it. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably, but we had 11 people at one time for a birthday celebration. There was more than enough room with 2 lounges and a good sized dinning area. Everything is there you would need for your stay. The weather was wet, windy and cold over our weekend in Fishguard, but the cottage was lovely and warm. We would definitely recommend for people who have an appreciation for art. The beds have memory foam mattress, so had a good night sleep. There is a combi boiler too so ample hot water for showers. We will be back.
