Wee Grange - A little gem

The bed was a little to hard for my liking. But may suit others. Other than that I can't find fault with anything.

The property was a little gem. Full of character and situated in a pretty village. Very clean. We walked into Bath along the canal tow path which was about 2 miles. The cottage had all the essentials and the hosts kindly left some delicious marmalade. It was easy to book an uber if the walk seemed a little too far. We had a great time and would have liked to have stayed longer. We hope to return to Wee Grange another time.

There is nothing to dislike. Bed very comfortable, linen and towels high quality, bathroom immaculate, shower is strong, virtually instant hot water. Kitchen very well equipped, and all instructions for all appliance's neatly kept in a folder that is in plain sight. We do 3-4 stays like this a year and have been for the last 6 years, this is in the top 3.

    Idyllic break in Bathampton

Nothing not to like, and I think it's a bit cheeky the column asks for 2 to 3 sentences.

Wee Grange was a perfect property, and we couldn't have hoped for a better located, superbly appointed, comfortable, well equipped place to stay. The location in Bathampton was near the canal and the River Avon. Bath was easily accessed by walking in along the tow path as we did every day. The walk to the centre took about 35 to 45 minutes depending on how long you spent dawdling and taking in the views of the hills, flowers, wildlife, and boats that were present. The dining area was comfortable, although we didn't dine at home as we utilised the George and The Bathampton Mill, the latter being by far the better for service, food, and choice of menu. The lounge area was again very nice. However, with my bad back, the settee was a tad firm, but I'm sure that's a personal thing. The bed was extremely comfortable and afforded us great sleep 💤 every night. The traffic began yo get a little noisy after 6.00 a.m., but we had all the windows open, but after a bit, we got used to it. This is a beautiful property and would return at the drop of a hat. In fact, I think I've already dropped it there. Thank you for such a lovely break. We will never forget it.

This little gem was an amazing find! It was clean and had such a friendly feel. We were able to get into Bath on a bus really easily and we had a lovely coffee by the canal. this place is great for a couple or to give two friends a chance to catch up (which was wonderful!) Annie and Martin left us to it, but were only a message away if needed and Martin’s marmalade was awesome!

    Nothing

We particularly liked the cottage, its location to the canal and towpath, and being a 10 minute traffic-free cycle to Bath. It is also well placed for cycling the Two Tunnels cycle loop from Bathampton. This cottage, and the main house was home of Harbutt, the inventor of plasticine, and the original factory stood behind the house. There's a plaque on the end of the cottage about this. We were taken with this and felt that this was a feature the owners should advertise more.

It would have been useful to know that there was a Spar shop in the village for essentials. COVID-19 instructions need updating so that guests know what is required of them on vacating the cottage.

Great location. We really enjoyed being able to walk directly from the cottage along the canal into Bath city centre every day. Lovely little courtyard to sit outside on warm summer evenings.

The road immediately in front of the apartment was busy all day, although this didn’t continue through the night so we were able to get a good nights sleep.

A pretty apartment appointed to a high standard, with the bonus of a private outside space. Parking on the road outside was always available.

Everything was great, nothing negative to say.....

Wee Grange was warm, clean & comfortable. The apartment was spacious & well equipped. Annie was friendly & offered change of towels as we were staying a week. The location is good - quite a busy road, but noise not intrusive. Close to canal so nice walk into Bath. Good pubs nearby.
