After check-in I went straight to the room, for second (up) bed. When I was about to go sleep I found hair, and not only one on my “clean” bed!!! I think you guys should do something with that!

Very quite place right on the canal, many restaurants around, bus stop in 5 min walk distance. Rooms are not big, but good enough. Many cool activities and games downstairs. Nice place to stay!

People were noisy late into the night and early in the morning both in my room and in surrounding rooms. But i guess thats just luck that night rather than the hostel itself. A bit of a walk from train station.

I liked that theres private bathroom available per room. Clean beds, storage space available in room. Friendly staff. Water tap to fill up water bottles.

It will be better if there’re curtains for beds.

The eco-design lights turned off automatically during shower which was annoying. Would be nicer if there is a table or a shelf in the room for storage.

    Nice view, room is spacious

Shower and bathroom was a little bit small but it didn’t bother me too much.

The hostel was actually better than I thaught before. Space was enough for three people and it was clean too. Beds were comfy and the location was good as well.

The room was slightly warm even with window open. Other than that it did the job well.

The area was nice and quiet with minimal traffic. You might hear a few geese in the morning cos its right on the canal. Space was clean and comfortable and the room was big enough for us all. Free parking. Staff were friendly.

All the staff I interacted with were exceptionally efficient, very nice, and extremely helpful. Genuinely never had such a good experience in a hostel (and I like hostels and stay in them a lot). Hostel staff are always super busy, tend to be underpaid, and lots of guests are rude to them, so I find it amazing that everyone in this place was lovely and resolved every issue raised within 5 minutes.

The only very minor thing I can think to mention was that not all of the plugs in the room worked.

It was very good value for money. Four of us stayed in the room and it came to only £20 each per night! The room was well equipped and had everything we needed. The reception was open 24/7 which was very handy, and after we had checked out they even held onto my bag for a couple hours for free whilst I wandered around Manchester. I thought I would have to pay for left luggage at the station, but instead the staff were incredibly accommodating so I didn't need to.

There was a mix up in my booking as they made a reservation for a lady, however the reception desk people were very kind and tried to help me as much as they could... Very hospitable employees at YHA Hostel, Manchester... Will try and stop there the next time I visit Great Manchester City...

If you need a towel - you need to rent it. It was probably the first time we met situation like this. Wifi was not working in our room - we stayed in the second floor and there was no chance to use it. Breakfast was pretty meeeeh, delicious, but not much to choose from.

Great personal - they were ready to help and ask answer the questions. Big round of applauses goes to woman from personal (haven’t got a chance to ask her name, but she is religious!) who gave us advices what to visit in Manchester, was extremely polite and helpful. Great location: near centre, a lot of restaurants/bars are around.
