How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I’d have liked to stay longer!
The staff were brilliant, from the helpful and friendly reception staff, the bar staff to the lady who sorted breakfast. Brilliant. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, less to town, breakfast great, food excellent and brilliant cocktails. This was a highlight stay

Very conveniently located and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is delicious and offers both healthy/vegan and traditional options for both savory or sweet tastes. The lounge bar on site is also an excellent spot for people watching or relaxing after a day at the beach. Staff is very well trained (very good mix of professional service/friendliness with human touch)

The breakfast may include piadina as a traditional food of Riccione and may include some Mediterranean breakfast items for example cucumber, green peppers, tomatoes, olives, cheese … etc. (you are Mediterranean guys. Please do that)
The location is excellent. If you plan a trip for Riccione that’s the correct hotel to be heart of Riccione. 1 minutes walk to the heart of life and 2 minutes walk to the best beach.

There is no pool. The parking situation is a little annoying but, honestly, not a big issue.
This hotel has a very eclectic feel. The deluxe double rooms are large with a hot tub and a balcony. The shower is nice and had storage. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly quiet. I had no issues sleeping. The bar is the star of the show in this hotel. The staff is all very accommodating and the cocktails are amazing.

the room we got was maybe one of few without a balcony.
the location is very good, staff very friendly and proactive.. very well work on details inside out the facility. good bar and good food served. plus they gave us a pleasant gift for our honeymoon.. a bottle of Prosecco with delicious garniture of fruits ❤️❤️

Anything to dislike, super recommended
The experience at The Box will be unforgettable! Great eye to details, owners and crew super professional but at the same time able to create a family atmosphere. The restaurant is a plus, best in town in my opinion.

The bathroom definitely needs a restyle guys
This hotel could easily be in London or Berlin. Amazing style, nice, creative and young vibes. Easy going, superfriendly staff that gave us the feeling of being welcome from the first second on. We loved the breakfast and terrace. The location is perfect - close to the city centre with boutiques, great bars and restaurants. The beach is only 50m away. Definitely (!) a recommendation for young people that want to explore this beautiful part of Italy in a hotel that knows their needs.

- Room size tend to be small even when booking a suite - Limited storage space for clothes. Cupboards are open space - Water leakage from the shower box - Fixed a la carte menu that may be an issue for long stay in the hotel when one is looking for some variations and changes - In the Suite 501 curtins are not isolating well from the morning light. If you are sensitive to light when sleeping it may be an issue

The Hotel is very beautiful and pays a lot of attention to details! It is very stylish and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything is very clean and the staff is very friendly! It is located very central and near the beach as well as near the shopping and dining area. Parking is in a very near garage and very easy to find. I can’t wait to stay here again…
