Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaRoom is quite small, photos on booking.com do reflect this, but I wouldn't recommend staying with much luggage as it takes up all the floor space. There is a spot under the bed to store your suitcase but as we were only staying one night, we found that more of a pain to pull in and out multiple times.
It's a fantastic location, such a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the Shibuya Crossing. Good facilities available with a pizza restaurant on 1F so you can easily get food at the hotel if needed. We didn't have pizza but enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant the following day. You're definitely paying for the location but we thought it was a great spot for one night.

Everything is very new, clean, and stylish. The restaurant on the lobby floor is excellent. Nice cafe on ground floor. The staff at reception are extremely nice and helpful. Great location to stay for shopping in Shibuya.

GermanyView from the room was of a construction site, no early check-in (arrived at 14:10 and had to wait until 15:00 no flexibility or option to pay extra to enter the room 50 minutes, after a long flight and jet-lag this would've been very much appreciated). Value for money was passable for the location but quite pricey due to the limited facilities.

SingaporeThe central part of the hotel was open from top to bottom so a bit chilly in the hallways. The room was warm though. Only other tiny thing was there is a wooden frame around the bed which I kept forgetting about. Would be tight with two people in that room
The location was excellent really close to everything in Shibuya and easy to get from the station from Narita airport It’s a really comfy place even though the room was small (I expected this) it had everything I need and shower was spacious with nice toiletries. It was also really quiet. Breakfast was good and also the pizza in the evening . In the room I liked how they provided a little table and cushion to sit so not on the bed if on a laptop.

JapanI travelled with my infant and 2 of my friends helped me with checking in but one of the staffs were a little bit rude. He told me we only have one room and I said yes. He also said the room is only for two people and kinda meaning to say that my 2 friends are not allowed to stay. I said “yeah, they’re just helping me out”. I find it a little bit rude and annoying to do that knowing that he saw me a bit struggling with my child and all our luggages. The other staffs were really good and helpful though.
The location was great! There’s also a coffee shop and bar in the ground floor. There’s also a pizza place that we liked!

CanadaWe stayed in the Corning King with 2 adults and a child - bed was great for the 3 of us (standard King size), but the room was tiny. Enough space for us to open one luggage and that’s it - barely enough room to walk to the bathroom with it open on the floor. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet.
Super close to Shibuya station (5-7 min walk) made travel convenient around Tokyo. A number food options nearby and a Family Mart about 5 mins away as well. Staff was quite young and friendly. Automated kiosks for check-in and check-out.
