found the room quite noisy, like there was a washing machine going off? However I am a light sleeper, and the rest of the family were fine.

Because of the snow festival - the roads were a little hard to bring luggage down to the hostel from the subway - but the in house facilities were great.

The place is a cozy hostel with an Amazing owner/host Nathan. I like booking Hostels to meet people from all over the world in the common area and this hostel provides and promotes that. Nathan went above and beyond connecting us and his guests. He even wrang up a tattoo artist friend, which turned into my brother getting a sporadic ramen tattoo ! (We rented the family room)

The stay at Arura Sapporo was amazing. A really friendly owner, comfortable beds and a good location are a the biggest plus points. Nearby you find the subway and coffes for breakfast. I definetly consider staying here again if I come back to Sapporo one day.

The staff lives nearby so it can feel empty - they immediately come if you call the inter phone though. I’d check the ventilation grid in the showers.

Cozy and welcoming, one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The room was clean and large and the bed very comfortable. The lounge area is big and has plenty of seating options, as well as a toaster and coffee/tea maker.

The quiet neighborhood is a plus. The ambience of the receiving area is great and cozy and that is what I like the most about it.

Nothing much to say here... I guess the only thing they could improve would be to have a proper space to cook for yourself (there are only a couple of bowls, a electric-kettle & a micro-wave). There is a fridge though. And, also, it's a bit far from the center (20-30min by foot depending on your speed & where you're going) but it's only a problem during the night as metro & tram are pretty close.

This place is amazing! - The owner (and his family) are incredibly cool (we went partying together!) & helpful. - The hostel is well designed, not too big, has a nice outside terrace, a cozy common space, great bathroom/shower area... - Washing machine is free (that is particularly nice since some hostels seem to make money out of such a basic service) - the common space has a small restaurant & bar: food is simple but great & the selection of wines is great and not expensive. Music is playing, a guitar is available and dogs are welcome (the owner has a very nice one). - Because all of that, you meet a lot of cool & interesting people. The vibe is way better than most hostels i've been in Japan (where most people don't talk to you and/or are just salary/old men enjoying the cheap prices and that's it).

The sleeping arrangements are bunk beds with curtains, instead of capsules, allowing some light to spill out.

The hostel is a family business, and the owners and their son were all exceptionally kind and helpful, and offered a great recommendation of where to go for dinner. The place has an excellent vibe, and everything is very clean. Heavily recommend.

The ambiance of the hostel was so comfortable and friendly! The staff were really nice and the hostel had everything we needed (nice showers, hair dryer, washer, place to hang clothes, large shared space etc). Plus it's really close to a subway station, Lawson and a shrine, awesome location!
