How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We got there at around 2 pm after almost 18 hours of travelling. We asked if we could do an early check in (which was at 3pm). First they said rooms were not ready but if we paid around 10€ we could check in one hour early. Finally they let us check in at 2:30.Definitely not what you expect from a 4 star hotel.
Good location and one of the main metro stations of the city is literally a few steps away from the hotel. Rooms are clean and have all you need.

There was a tremor, and since we were in one of the top floors, it felt like the whole building was stumbling! Probably most of buildings in Japan have similar structure and that’s supposed to be safe! But we were scared for a bit.
Clean, comfortable, very spacious, with necessary free amenities for your stay. Most of the staff members speak English, and they are very helpful. You can also borrow an umbrella if it rains! Several convenient stores near the hotel, few blocks away from the metro station.

They offer laundry service, however, one machine was broken at the time so it was a bit of a challenge to find an empty slot.
The room was quite big, the staff was really nice and helped us with our luggage situation! The location is good (one subway station is almost next door, one is 5-7 minutes of walking) and quiet at the same time. I recommend!

Good location right next to metro. We really enjoyed their breakfast. They even have self-srevice room where you can find microwave and irons with ironing boards.

You can hear your neighbors. One night they had a little reunion or something that lasted til the morning. I have a very light sleep so I used some earplugs and I was able to sleep. It's not like horribly noisy but more like whispers that can be annoying. The other nights were fine.
Front desk staff was really enthusiastic and they spoke English :). The location is perfect. I like that it is not in the busiest area . You have a family mart and 7 eleven close by . The metro station is like 2 min walking.

Great location near Kitahama station and Yodayabashi station. It's a pretty quiet area, seems like a business district so it's a great place to be after a hectic day walking around Osaka. Good value for money!

Zero free beverages, like water or free coffee. Which was the first time in 5 hotel stays in Japan.

There's no area available for sitting and chatting or having drinks. The smoking area is very, very small. So, apart from sleeping in the hotel, there's no space to spend time.
Very good location,only a few steps to metro line.Easy access to trains for nearby city’s like Nara,Kobe,Kyoto etc.

Have no drinking water in the room.
The location is near the train station and the Family Mart. The room is clean. In addition, the staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are very good.

The only small negative is the location of this hotel - just lacking in atmosphere for tourists but I suspect it would be idea for those travelling for work.
The staff were lovely, room and hotel was very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is situated in the business district and away from most of the crowds. It has two metro station within 10 mins walk. The hotel room was large enough for three people and was very clean and comfortable. We found the staff were very helpful and friendly it felt strange to have the staff bow to us every time we got out of the lift. But we loved our time here.
