Despite free shuttle it is not amazingly convenient. Good enough though. Staff are a little slow to process things and just don't quite feel friendly. Checkout was surprisingly slow, most places you hand over keys and are gone but I had to queue here and nearly missed the shuttle. They didn't charge our parking till checkout either which also slowed us - but they said they would charge it to our card when we checked in so that shouldn't have happened. Rooms fittings were old - like 1980s maybe? Still ok though. Services supposed to include access to movies according to hotel blurb but that wasnt there. In fact whole experience was not very modern - tv was ancient 2016 model and could not connect to smart phone very well even via HDMI lat alone wirelesly. Spa etc close fairly early at 2130. This is all minor stuff, and was still a good stay but for a five star hotel I found it a bit lacking is all.

Room are clean, but may need renovation

Staff speak good English and are very helpful. Their service is still as good as before, which they are as good as other top grade hotels in Japan. The reasons why it is not expensive is I guess the rooms need renovation.

Opening hours of the Onsen and Gym, very limited. Room cleaning could also be better.

Excellent facilities although everything is charged extra. Shuttle bus every 20mins is very convenient. Room size is big for Japan standards.

Just the room is a bit old-fashioned.

Great hotel. Clean room. Humidifier available. Many AC and USB chargers in the room. Convenient free shuttle bus service from the main train station - we use it everyday! Very convenient. Great service. Punctual. Breakfast is great. Variety of restaurants to choose from (may depend on availability). Buffet breakfast offers variety of foods including Japanese, Western, also drinks.

1. Very limited choices of fresh fruits for breakfast. 2. In terms of location, the area is quiet and we drove there by car from KIX airport in the late afternoon. Traffic was bad as it was rush hour and part of the freeway was closed due to maintenance. In the end, it took us much longer to get there.

1. We booked 2 twin rooms with balcony in the south wing - We all felt very comfortable with the door of the balcony open. We did not even need air conditioner at all. The view from the room is great! 2. We all enjoyed the breakfast buffet - great ocean view on 30th floor in the main building and the food was tasty and exquisite 3. We had our dinner in the hotel's Chinese restaurant on 28th floor. It was a peaceful environment though the taste of the food could have been slightly improved. 4. Bathroom, toilet are big and clean. Bed is comfortable. 5. Great value of money. 6. Lots of car park spaces on sites. We paid 800 yen car park fees for overnight stay.

Everything was perfect.

This is an exceptional hotel that makes discovering Kobe and the region very comfortable. There is a free shuttle bus from the Shinkansen station and also from the city center. The prices are affordable, breakfast on the 30th floor is a must. Definitely recommended.

When checked in they said that I booked a different room with twin bed but my confirmation from booking.com is exactly the one I described and I showed them this and they said they upgraded me bigger room however my room was exactly same as the one I booked in booking.com
