The hotel has everything you need. Excellent location if you are travelling in Japan by Shinkansen and want to sleep in the centre of the city. Very good breakfast buffet, even for a European.

There are 2 diff Metropolitan hotels close to JR Sendai Station. This hotel is Metropolitan East while other hotel is just Metropolitan hotel

The only issue I had was not knowing that to have your room cleaned you must turn on the clean my room light (green). There are two buttons beneath your card key slot that you must turn on if you want you room cleaned or the red one for Do Not Disturb. You can have eco clean which is a magnet you stick on your door and they replace all your towels, tea and coffee and leave it on your door handle with out disturbing you.

The hotel is located at the east entrance to Sendai station, a short 3 min walk from the Shinkansen platform all clearly sign posted. The entrance is at the east end a beautiful mall full of delicious food shop that runs from the station to the hotel. The entrance is on level 3, so is the restaurant , smoking room and toilets. The reception is on the 4th floor up the escalators. The staff are like most hotels I have stayed at in Japan, very friendly and super helpful. You can leave you bags there before check-in and after check-out to save you carting them around with you. I did not use the restaurant while I was there, but I did look inside and it looked and smelt beautiful. The rooms where a decent size for a lone traveller, I had the single room queen size bed. My view on the 8th floor was magnificent looking along the main road heading east with a gorgeous sunrise in the morning through the floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom had a seperate wet room with a large bath and shower with 5 shower heads. The room had the usual amenities plus a trouser press, drip coffee machine, large screen TV and a case iron teapot for own tea ceremony. All in all a great hotel to stay at in Sendai, I defiantly will be staying there again.

The size of the room appeared to be inadequate for accommodating two individuals with a substantial amount of baggage. Despite their best efforts to organize and arrange the belongings, the limited space made it challenging to move around freely.

The hotel we stayed at boasted a contemporary and stylish aesthetic, which made it visually appealing and a pleasure to spend time in. Moreover, the room we were assigned was a delight, as it offered a breathtaking view of the beautiful cityscape. The kingbed room is large comparing to other hotels in Japan within the same price range. The bathtub is equipped with Jagucci. Nice breakfast line. Located inside the Sendai station, connected to S-Pal shopping complex, super convenient.

The location! I love how it’s located at right next to the station with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The hotel is newer and has more space than the other Metropolitan hotel. The staff members are also very courteous. I will definitely stay here again

Guest lounge is very relaxed area. Quiet and has good views of the city. You can enjoy free teas or coffee or cold drinks. Eating is discouraged and you are not permitted to bring your own food in which is fine. It’s a quiet relaxing space.

Location is great. Very convenient to the local trains & Shinkansen.
