How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I like this place because it is near Narita Station and its a quiet place to sleep, very clean.

They didn’t have big enough lockers for suitcases so I needed to keep my baggage near to my bed.

The room locker is automatic and requires pin code. But It is bipping each time someone write codes for each time. It can be muted at least in the night.
I came to house around 23. When I came, my name was written on place with a flip flap. I did not see someone both check in and check out. Their system works good.... I love the design of common rest room. House is very clean and very close to Narita station and Narita main shopping street.

The only thing out of the entire place was the futon was very thin so it felt like you were sleeping on the floor.
I loved everything about this property. The staff were accommodating the rooms were lovely and all the facility were clean and great.

Steep steps to get to the second floor. I did not meet any staff, but it was clear that the place was well cared for.
A small, cozy guesthouse, well visibly cared for, and with a lot of character. Very basic amenities in the room, but the common area was well equipped and comfy. I chose this place to be close to the airport for a departure the next morning, and discovered a gem of a neighbourhood.

Great value. Cozy, clean, and they provide all the basic amenities you need. Location was also great. Easily accessible. The private room size was much bigger than I expected. Definitely would book again if I get the chance to go again.

Doesn't seem like a very sociable place but that's to be expected from somewhere close to the airport.
Very handy location with flexible check in / check out. Clean and the eating area is nice.

Extremely easy to self check in with all information sent to me. Happy that i could stay in the common room as long as i needed after check-out before travelling to my next accommodation!

The bed was really hard (which I expected and it was okay, I still want to mention it though) For me the air conditioning all night was too strong and it smelled a little mouldy

Not something they did wrong, but there was an earthquake that woke us up in the middle of the night! The building held up well, though, and taught me a bit about seismic dynamics. :)
This was an easy place to land after a long flight. It's a short walk from two of the Narita town train stations, with lots of food options nearby. Check in was simple, and it was a great way to introduce our son to Japan, by staying at a proper ryokan. We forgot a bag in the storage area, and staff held it for us and had it ready for us upon our return to Narita! I was so happy and really appreciated their effort when I was able to pick it up.

Only downside was that the rooms were upstairs (1 floor), so we had to carry it up because we wanted to repack our luggage. But the hostel did provide a storage for luggage at the ground floor if you don't want to carry the luggage up. There was a route that required us to pass a bridge / go up a slope from the station to this hostel, so might want to reconsider this if you're bringing a heavy luggage. No tea/coffee provided.
Glad to have a private room just before departing back home, so it was easier to repack the luggage. The futon was comfier than I thought, with heater/air-conditioner. Keypad lock was easy to use and the staff were friendly.

Showers didn't seem to get very warm. Not too much of an issue but a nice hot shower would have been amazing after 26hrs of travel.
Excellent value for money. Perfect for catching up on sleep after a long flight!
