The rooms are definitely on the small side. My son and I shared a double twin and we were comfortable though.

The breakfast was amazing and really amongst the best hotel breakfasts I've every had. The variety of food offered, the ambience and the service was fantastic. The rooms run small but we asked for extra luggage rack and made it work well. The air conditioning is great so we were able to sleep well despite the humidity

Honestly no complaints !

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Most speak at least a little bit of english but even if they are not fluent they do their best to be helpful and accommodating. The environment was beautiful and pleasant to stay in. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the kyoto area, it’s also very close to the public transportation which makes it so much easier to get around :)

Compared to other Japanses service, I don't think the staff in this hotel is as nice as others. When we first arrived, the room is not ready yet, but I required to complete check-in process first, that was rejected, which is fine. When we came back again, one of the staff asked us to self-check in using lobby machine, which we also did. After that, we tried to get our luggage which stored in the lobby before, we were told to present our luggage ticket. That ticket was taken by the staff who asked us to do the self-check in. We can't get our luggage until receiving people instructions of the hotel. I don't understand this process. If self-check in is to save guests' time, why we still need to get into a counter for instructions. Why the staff who took our luggage ticket didn't give the ticket to the counter - this is not a professional hotel service.

Perfect location, 5min walking to railway station, close to a 7-11. The room is very big compared to other Japanese hotel rooms.

Rooms were a little small although neat and clean, and perfect for rest after a day of walking. The balcony was very welcome. Other facilities such as the lounges, coffee and tea facilities, music and drinks in the evenings, laundry, and bathing house were also very good. Proximity to Kyoto Railway Station was perfect.

The room was small with nowhere to hang or store clothes so we had to live out of our suitcases for 4 nights. No in room safe. Fridge was provided but not very cold.

Excellent location so close to Kyoto station. Flat walk so problem even with lots of luggage. Good breakfast selection and nice dining area includimg outside area. Lots of coffee machines offering four types of coffee beand. Firepits and lots of lounge area with modern and trendy decor. Lovely bath products provided. They lent us umbrellas when it raisned. Great free drink at the bar every night.

Room could have bee a bit bigger, especially travelling with 2 big bags, no room to place bags. Would have liked to have a safe in room. Breakfast was delicious, my only suggestion would be to change the breakfast offering every second day. I stayed for 6 nights and almost the same food was on offer each day.

The daily cleaning could be better

Location was perfect, a walking distance to the main Kyoto train station which is the hub for the bullet trains and haruka train to outskirts from Kyoto. Hotel offered daily complimentary drinks and we enjoyed the bubbles there. As for the restaurant VERY affordable restaurant in my entire Japan visit and the food was equally delicious and enough. The room was surprisingly specious enough compared to Tokyo rooms with a nice balcony

Smaller room, quite expensive for what you are actually getting. The bathroom was very small and had a feel of being in a container for construction workers. We did not extend our stay as initially planned.

We enjoyed the foyer ambiance, the bar was very good and the breakfasts were very good. Loved the variety of coffee available. Didn’t have time to try the public bath.

The open center and bar. It was too cold to sit out at night and enjoy a drink. Also the power outlets in the room were inadequate, we required medical equipment for night use and had to pull out the bed and bedside lamps to get a power outlet to ensure the use in bed.

Loved the cleanliness and having our own balcony. Also the onsen was a lovely extra to soak after all the walking exploring Kyoto
