Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaWe booked a room for our last night in Tokyo, as we needed to depart early to the airport and we could not sleep due to the fact that the mattress is SO HARD. It’s simply like sleeping on the floor or on a wooden board. I really don’t recommend this hotel if you want/need to enjoy your sleep. + noisy rooms, you can hear the traffic on the street during the night.
Location ok, facilities ok, however the mattress is absolutely horrific.

AustraliaThe beds were hard very difficult sleeping
We loved your staff extremely professional and helpful at all times as well as friendly: The unseen was a real treat to enjoy first time. Our very only little glitch we found the beds were hard and the pillows quite flat and also different: otherwise we enjoyed so much about the trendy urban hotel and location was excellent.

Singapore1. Somehow i kept kicking on the hard bed frame and I had to place a pillow for prevention. 2. The room does not have a tub, just shower area but if you enjoy spa then this will not be a concern. 3. The area is safe but can get a little quiet later at night and there is a homeless man (nothing against him) but just highlighting here in case any ladies would be afraid. He is harmless, at least during the 3 nights/days I see him.
Decided to try this hotel which is further down where I usually stay whenever I am in Tokyo. Check-in and out were a breeze, The room is clean and comfortable. Spa is usually small for a business hotel but this one is a little bigger than the "usual". They also make up the room daily if you put the correct tag on the bed and door.

United StatesThe bathroom and floors were a bit dirty on check-in.
The location was pretty close to a train station. Stores, dining, and post office were also super close. Large public bath was really nice for winding down after a long day of walking.

MalaysiaPersonally, I was ok with everything except that there is no closet or anything like that, so I wouldn't have to live out of a suitcase.
Perfect location, close to different train lines, shops, and restaurants. We walked to the Tokyo Train Station and the Palace. The area is very convenient, safe, and quiet. The hotel is nice, but the room was smaller than the usual 4* hotel size. Be ready to live out of a suitcase, because there is no closet. They have a laundromat and public bath, which is very convenient. The staff is friendly, they try their best to help or assist. Breakfast is ok, no hot meal like scrambled egg, omelet or porridge. They have a few vegetables, boiled eggs, and shredded chicken, so you can mix your salad. Usually, they have two types of freshly baked bread and toast, but no croissant. Freshly brewed coffee, juice, and fruits are also available every day. For me, it was enough, but not for my daughter, she likes omelets and hot meals. I enjoyed their bread with white chocolate, nuts, and fruits every morning.

AustraliaNot being able to book a half day late checkout. If you are staying for more than a couple of days there is a limited ability to hang clothes, even in the deluxe rooms, there is also little room for large suitcases.

NorwayThe breakfast was good, the coffee was bad American style. Since everything was based on self service, there was at lot of paper waste every day. The room was very small, no space for luggage.
The location was great. The hotel is good, the staff very helpful. The room was good, but the lack of space made it less practical.

NetherlandsThe curtains are too short so room is full bright at 0530 in the morni g. Very annoying. I asked for extra towels and tape and taped the window off with the towels. We slept in 2 different rooms and both times the mattress had a big dent on the side where you get in ( bed is against wall with window). First time I asked the reception to flip the mattress around which they did and that helped. Despite all this I would probably stay there again due to location, price, service.
Quiet hotel , centrally located. Good service, nice breakfast. Nice onsen.

Very nice location in the middle of Ginza. Walkable to all the train station near by and also great restaurants. Nice for thinking about shopping in Tokyo because most of shops are in this area for sure.
