Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe check-in code was a bit hard to understand but luckily another guest who was entering the building was able to assist us. Sometimes the door pin number was hard to put in as it would change or be too sensitive.
Amazing location, close to convenience stores (7/11, Family Mart, Lawson), train lines, mall, restaurants. Clean facilities. Fast communication from staff when we had any questions. Even though it was right by the train line there were noise cancellation measures (4 doors) so noise did not bother our group of 10. Safe area, was able to wonder the streets at night.

United KingdomWe really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were spacious and very clean. Nice big fridge, smart TV, cooking facilities, shower room with bath. You check yourself in which was an easy experience. The host was reachable for any questions so that was good. Location is fantastic walking distance to train station and we found this station had several lines and also lots of restaurants nearby. If you're in the area definitely stay here!

AustraliaThis property is a self service apartment a little unknown by most taxi drivers so can be difficult to find. There are no staff so don’t expect any on site assistance. I did not like being provided the access code so close to check in most people don’t have access to the internet on their phones whilst travelling so unless you have wifi or a Japanese eSIM or have paid for international roaming there is no way to get the access codes to the lobby or your room. I would suggest this be provided by a SMS to the booking guests contact number instead of a message via booking.com message platform.

Modern facilities in a convenient location. Close to JR Osaka station and Hankyu Umeda station. Very easy to get around. Room was spacious for city accommodation, clean, safe and secure. Very easy to check in and out. Everything was provided for. Communication was great and responsive.

CanadaThere were no extra amenities close to us; we had to go to the top floor to retrieve them ourselves. Our main concern was the pile of laundry (used sheets, towels) blocking the stairs which was also the fire escape route. As a family of four adults, there were no extra pillows available. There were also no table and chairs in the room, so it was inconvenient to eat. Unfortunately, we noticed an unpleasant odour coming from the toilet and was spreading through the room; we had to close the washroom door in order to sleep. We would have preferred staff on-site that could help us with our needs.
The kitchen amenities met expectations, and we enjoyed being able to cook. The kettle was very new and boiled water very quickly. Even though we were next to the train, the noise was minimal and didn't disturb our sleep.

JapanCons: 1) The washing machine / oven / heater only came with Japanese instructions so it took a while to figure our directions. It would be super helpful if you provide even a very brief instruction in English. 2) It was a bit loud near the windows (the trains are passing by nonstop). Make sure to close all THREE windows so that you can minimize the noise / and keep the room warm. 3) The WIfi was provided but it was a bit weak.
Pro: 1) There was a washing machine! Although there was no dryer (and hard to hang the laundry all over the room), it was such a relief that there was a washing machine during the travel. 2) Location was great: It was about 7~9 min walk from Umeda Station which is a central tourist sight of Osaka. 3) There were plenty of places to eat near the Hotel 4) Hotel was clean! 5) Although there was no front desk, the response came relatively fast when I wrote the assistant with any questions/problems I had during my stay.

Australia0 soundproofing! It had 3 panels of glass on the balcony, that made 0 difference to the trains rattling past 20hrs a day. Entry door was just as good for the Hwy on the other side. Beds were hard.

It's not a family room - the place is tiny, barely enough space to move around. They should not have listed the room as for 4 people if it's hardly enough for 2!
