Only thing what was missing was a real common area for meeting up other travelers.

It was a nice little hostel for backpackers. I stayed in multiple rooms during traveling back and forth. The women in charge is super lovely and very helpful. For the very low price everything was nearly perfect.

Somehow the bed is so comfortable I had a good night sleep. Very worth your money if you just want a place to sleep. Small room but good enough 👍 Staff also give great service and great vibes.

It would somehow be nice to have a reading light and power outlet next to the bed.

KD is an excellent host and such a kind person who helps you with every question you have. The place is filled with love and positivity. The dorm was simple but clean and comfy bed :) Love that free filtered water to refill your drinking bottle! Thanks for everything!

    - the room wall is thick so I can hear people talking; better to prepare earplugs if you are a light sleeper

    - The location is great. 10 mins walk to the waterfront; 10 mins walk to another side's medium-sized mall; several restaurants nearby - haven't tried it but there is some simple free breakfast (toast and butter) - there is a hair dryer that can be borrowed

Note that the private rooms are rather small and the common room is more of a lobby than a living room, but fine for a short stay!

Good value for the price. Owner is super friendly and helpful with tips and recommendations!

Our room had no window. And we did not meet anyone of the staff during our stay, it was self check in and check out.

Good bed and good airconditioning. Nice shower. Good information about what to do in and around Kuching.

Reception might not be present at all time and can be quite a wait for them. The room is a bit stuffy, so its suitable to just crash, sleep, recharge.

Well located at middle of the city near to many tourist attraction, walking distance to malls, the river, and jetty. Very knowledgable and helpful host to give tips and guide on local attractions. Simple stay to rest and recharge for budget travelling.

The staff was just so nice!! Especially the ones who took me with them to the Bako national park. It's a very cosy guesthouse. At least one time, i would recommend you to sleep in one. Make sure to go to Fren's get together for breakfast and lunch.

The bathroom situation isn’t ideal if there are lots of guests. There is maybe two toilets and three working showers in the entire building. It’s self-check in and cash only upon arrival- but it’s next to impossible to find an employee to pay. Almost checked out before someone finally showed up to reception to take payment.

Really affordable and everything appears clean!

It seems has only one bathroom upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. and the kitchen and bathrooms could be cleaned more often, I hope.

Nurul was really helpful and patiently answered all my questions. The whole vibe of the hostel is authentic, very helpful and budget friendly for backpackers. And the people are friendly. It provides lots of useful information on the front desk, for example where to visit, how to book. And the location is very central, you can get everything you need by walking distance. I end up staying there for 7 days straight.

Only a fleece blanket. Room was very dark. No drinking water available. Their booking account got hacked, took them very long to send a warning message, creditcard got blocked, they never replied to that.

Fine for a few nights, good location. Nice that we could leave our bags for a night without fee.

It's about a 10min walk to the waterfront and Jalan Carpenter kopitiams. The hawker centre/night market near the Electra building is about a 15 min walk.

Very secure. Dorms have a key and the main entrance to the property has a keypad lock. Bella will communicate by WhatsApp and leave instructions for check in. There is a kitchenette with free coffee and tea. AC is strong and the dorms are clean. There are small individual lockers for valuables but the beds don't have individual lights or power sockets. Bella can easily be reached by WhatsApp and is very helpful. There is excellent info available about tours and practical info about how to get around.

Downstairs rooms have thin walls so could hear everyone moving about/talking at 7am outside my room (which woke me up) which was not great as I was so tired. Maybe if people can be told to be quiet in reception area/downstairs areas in the morning as people may still be trying to sleep.

Great location, staff and value for money. Great way to meet people too. Overall, would definitely stay again.

You pay for what you get - simple hostel with basic amenities, I don’t think there’s a point to include breakfast. Also close to a bar so it was pretty loud one night (do bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper)

Walkable to main sites and shops/restaurants by the riverside, has a 7-E right across the street and highly recommend Think & Tink nearby for coffee and local/cultural events
