Great location, lovely traditional Dutch hotel with comfy beds, great showers and a very good breakfast (ham, eggs, cheeses, bread, toast, cereals, fruit, yogurts, cakes). Free WiFi worked well, free hot drinks in lounge area were great after a day out

Location was excellent close to many great bars and restaurants. Room met every criteria for a perfect room, although not new . Breakfast were great value with awesome street frontage. Sitting rooms available and staff were very friendly and helpful

There is no lift. People who have heavy luggage will be difficult to carry up through the narrow staircase. With two people to carry the luggage is fine 🙂

The room is exceptional and the location is at the middle of the prime. We can walk about 30mn from Central Station.

I had no problem with the stairs but if you have any problem on your knees I advice you ask for a room in frist floor.

The rooms are, by nature, somewhat smaller--but are comfortable and the bathrooms are larger than European average. There is very little not to like.

The location is outstanding--immediately adjacent to the nicest shopping and restaurant areas of Amsterdam, as well as a ten minute walk from the Ann Franke House. The breakfast was excellent and offered in a wonderful room looking out onto canal and street. The staff was very good--Robbie was particularly excellent. Coffee and tea is available throughout the day. Small groceries are close by, as are coffee shops and etc.

The bathroom is quite small. The stairs are very steep as mentioned during booking but you can request a room on a lower floor and the staff are more than willing to help with bags.

Location is brilliant, 15-20 mins walk to a lot of the attractions. Staff were lovely. Hotel ambience is charming and homely. The continental breakfast is good, fresh and topped up regularly. The tea/coffee machine in the lounge is a welcome facility and free to use 24/7 as there are no kettles in the room. The bus station where the airport shuttle (397) goes from is 8 mins walk from the hotel.

Nothing at all, we loved it!

The location was perfect! The staff were amazing - extremely friendly, personable and helpful. It was spotlessly clean and we loved the traditional Dutch decor. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and the dining area was bright with great views of the canals and streets. Overall - perfect and absolutely no complaints!

As a couple in our upper 70’s, I found going up and down the typical steep Old World house stairs a bit of a slog…my husband hustled up, but this is all a part of why we don’t stay in newer cookie cutter hotels…the challenges keep you young! We were also made aware before booking

The hotel was absolutely charming, everything, employees, breakfast, ambience created a treasured experience for my husband and me. The location on a busy corner made you feel you were transported back in time, watching the cyclists attend to their busy days, young families enjoying the day. We walked everywhere, exploring each of the separate neighborhoods. The canals, architecture, and friendly people were more than I even dreamed! Thank you…Wiechmann Hotel..we love Amsterdam

Step stairs might not be good for everyone. But, we were fine as we brought a small luggage only.

Great location which is within a few mins’ walking distance from the most beautiful canals, bridges and shops in Amsterdam. Yet, its location is also quiet for a pleasant stay. The room was clean, relatively big and very comfortable. Free coffee during days and nights in the guest launch on G/F. Breakfast is plentiful and yummy. We had the feeling that the hotel and its staff put good efforts to make guests feel at home and comfortable. The hotel has a history but is well maintained, making the hotel stay good value for the price that we paid for the stay. This comment is written as the hotel deserves a praise for everything arranged for us. Thank you!!
