Cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. Owners are incredibly welcoming, I can not thank them enough for making my stay comfortable. This area is quiet and with everything you need nearby in terms of groceries, the beach and a few restaurants, bakery, and connections to Ponta Delgada.

The staff was super friendly and helped me so I could make the most of my stop over in Sao Miguel. They are both helpful and let you your space . They helped me with all my problems (caring for my things an extra day, booking a taxi ...). The home is beautiful calm and verycosy. I lived the dormitory and the little terrace with quote a number of plants ! I loved hearing the sea at night. Thank you very much

The house is very clean, comfortable and cozy with the bonus of the owner (Margarida) who is a very pleasant, smart, kind and helpful person, always ready to help you and provide useful information, allowing you to spend your time on the island in the best possible way. We felt welcomed as if we were at the home of old friends and not in a simple hostel... ... there could be no better choice to fully enjoy the wonderful São Miguel...!

The buses are infrequent, but that's not the hostel's fault.

The rooftop is very relaxing and the neighborhood is quiet. There's free tea and friendly travelers. The nearby beach is beautiful. It's a 45 minute walk to the center, but groceries, restaurants, and bars are nearby. I didn't want to leave.

We had to close the windows at night (even though it was very hot) due to the noise from the street.

We had a room for 3 plus an extra bed for my second child. Very spacious room. Bathrooms are shared but there are three of them, nicely furnished and there are cleaned twice a day! Fully equipped kitchen. Common room and a terrace with a small garden on the roof. 5 minutes walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants (with seafood or pizzas). Very close to Ponta Delgada and other attractions by car.

Overall great stay, very much exceeding expectations. A small hostel but with a lot of space. Only 6 beds in a big room, only a few private rooms, spacious and well equipped kitchen, 3 shared bathrooms with shower so no queues, a TV room/saloon - overall plenty of space, with quite a lot of privacy. Very nice owner lady. She allowed us to keep our luggage extra hours at no extra cost, and to stay inside when our flight was delayed. Highly appreciated!

I missed a shelf at the bed and in the bathroom as well as hangers in the bathroom.

Margarida & Carina are the most caring hostesses I’ve ever met in a hostel. The place is much more a home away from home than a hostel. Thank you for an awesome stay! Highly recommend a stay here!

The only bad thing was that there was only one bathroom in the property and it was on the second floor.

Easy check-in, host gives you a code to enter. Clean facilities, recently renovated kitchen and bathroom space. Our room was clean as well and had new furnishings. Really cool outdoor space as well. Good location in a quiet town only 15 minutes from airport and ponta delgada.

The beds could be refreshed or placed with mattress toppers, I could feel the springs in it but still slept OK. Would have liked better towels but I asked for a new one and it was no problem.

Felt homely, there's a lounge and kitchen to use, an awesome rooftop terrace with flora and fauna (including the cats!) and places to sit and some hammocks. The staff were friendly and willing to help yet not bothersome which works! Good location but you definitely have some form of transport to get to town easy. They have contacts to rent certain vehicles such as bikes or mopeds.

Only spent 2 night at the hostel, but I loved my time there. It's a really cosy and clean place with a nice garden near the ocean. The staff, Carina, was amazing and helped whenever needed. If I come back to S. Miguel, I would definitely stay at Pés Verdes again.
