  • Comfort Inn JFK Airport Review score: 6

“Close to the airport, only a few miles away.”

  • Miad’s Guest House Review score: 8

“Located close to JFK, staying at Miad’s place meant much reduced stress the next day as he provided (for a small extra charge) a transfer to the airport. He even picked us up from a close by station for no extra cost. It was clean and very spacious.”

  • The 1708 House Review score: 9

“Well situated Full of history Breakfast good Snacks and drinks excellent”

  • Olde Judge Mansion B&B Review score: 10

“The Olde Judge Mansion is a quirky, idiosyncratic, very comfortable and welcoming venue. I was staying for one night on a multiday cycling trip on the Empire State Trail from NYC to Montreal. Tina could not have been a more welcoming host. She made me feel very comfortable, pointed out everything I might need or want to do, showed me my room and explained the protocols really well. Each of the rooms are unique as far as I can tell, and the halls are filled with books, games, dvds and local information. Snacks and drinks are available all the time, and guests who buy food from takeaways can eat them at the dining room table. Tina told me all about the history of the house and what she has done to it. It is still in many ways a work in progress. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a log. The shower and bath were lovely and the towels fluffy. The breakfast was fantastic! It really set me up for the day’s cycling.”

  • “Even though the room is a little bit small, the bed was very confortable and it fits well for two persons. All the place was very clean and smelled fresh every time we came in. It was also good to see that the bath mats were being changed while we were there since it’s a shared bathroom. Over all it is very well located and situated on a queer safe neighborhood.”

  • Hotel Scherman Review score: 8

“The location was perfect, a few blocks from Times Square. The hotel, although small and hosted in an old building, is well maintained. We had a spacious room, a spacious and renovated bathroom and a nice city center view from the windows.”

  • “The location is amazing. Large windows with beautiful view. Clean and nice storage. Well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to main amenities in the town. Easy check-in and check-out. Plenty of towels, clean bed linens. Mattresses and pillows are too soft for my opinion but it's a personal preference. Liked the idea that every room has it's own AC, so the temperature could be different if you prefer warmer or colder than other people in your group. Plenty of parking spots. So place is very good.”

  • Micosta Leisure Inn Review score: 9

“Quirky. It had everything I needed and more. Listen my bike to first floor veranda, unpacked and made myself at home. Perfect for a longer stay but I was only staying one night as part of a multi-day cycling trip from NYC to Montreal on the Empire State Trail. I never actually met the people running the inn. Talked on the phone and they told me how to get in and the normal protocols. I had a good night’s sleep then got up in the morning and sat on the veranda with a coffee, looking out onto the meadow and listening to the sounds of nature - phenomenal. The Merlin app identified so many birds it was incredible.”

  • The Borland House Inn Review score: 8

“Old traditional house with a lot of charm. Very spacious room and great seating areas both inside and outside with the nice garden. Super comfortable bed !”

  • “Staff were cooperative and nice. The room was clean and location was convenient. I was able to park at the hotel which was amazingly cheap and convenient since street parking is difficult in NYC and expensive.”
