Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower was cold and the mattress was hard but these are minor issues that wouldn’t prevent us from revisiting.
All the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The little touches for the kids like plastic crockery and cutlery, high chairs for kids as well as babies made life so much easier. Pool access room was so convenient and plenty of shaded areas in and around the pool for us to relax in. We LOVED feeding time with the piglets and the little play area was a hit for our son. The gardens are beautiful and lovely to walk through.

AustraliaWould have had ceiling fans to minimise use of AC. And bath products when there is a bath. Lack of superior customer service, something you would expect from such a beautiful place
Enjoyed the tranquillity and beautiful views. Huge breakfast choices and complimentary shuttle to Patong. Pesto pasta was divine 😋

Sri LankaThe pool was dangerous to be in at night. We witnessed a snake like creature at around 6.45pm therefore we believe there should be adequate light to the pool if its open until late. The beach was rocky and there were lots of jellyfish. The pool bar staff on the 17th April 2024 were unaccomodative and unprofessional. The garden view room needs improvement since one of our rooms did not meet the standards we expected. The AC did not work at the garden view room and the lock from the inside did not work, which we had to complain of.
Breakfast was good. The garden was beautiful.

RomaniaEven though we booked for a twin room and at the reception they confirmed that the room was indeed a twin one, but into the room we had a double bad. We had to wait for about 30 minutes for them to change and remake the beds. The view from the garden view villa was partially blocked by the other villas, having only a small place to admire their garden. Also at the restaurant there are some items that you can see on the TVs from there that arent in the menu. (For example: pizza). The hotel looked decent even though it is old and they could make small changes (some tiles are broken in the villas teracces). Also I think it is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer.
The beautiful gardens! The room was spacious! The beds were comfortable.

Hong KongThe location isn’t great, with no restaurants on the beach or long tail boats able to dock due to the coral. The beach itself, is nice but not the best in Phuket by any means. It’s also not walking distance to any town and the shuttles to nearby Kamala and Patong are not that regular (only one to Kamala a day). If you have a room “hillside” be warned. It is the slowest funicular train up I’ve ever sat in. Half our party were located here and it did ruin their holiday a bit being se far away from the pool, restaurants, and it taking so long. I would suggest a room on the beach or swim up room.
The pool and gardens are the stand out features of this property. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. The pool is huge with little nooks and crannies with waterfalls and small coves to relax in. It would never feel crowded even at full capacity. The breakfasts is also excellent with a variety of food and selections of eggs, pastries, fruit and decent coffee! I would also add that the free daily yoga every morning was an unexpected bonus and and Sonia, the yoga teacher, is fabulous. You can also do ice baths with her and sunset yoga.

United KingdomThe beach is poor! The sand is course and not easy to walk on, the rock in the sea makes swimming a virtual impossibility. The gym is truly poor with very little equipment. The only bar that is open is the that by the pool and that shuts at 10:30 !!! F&B on site is expensive for Thailand.
The room was excellent, staff superb and the pool and pool restaurant/bar were very good. The grounds are beautiful. Access to our rooms on the hill was no problem at any time of day or night.

LithuaniaThe main disadvantage is the falling off tiles in the pool, which can cause serious injuries. We all had some minor cuts, and our daughter received a rather deep cut on her leg, a lot of blood, etc., the hotel manager simply apologized and that was all. Yes, they are trying to replace the tiles step by step, but it doesn't really help. The rooms definitely require a good renovation, because skewed doors and paint stains do not correspond at all to the level of the hotel and prices. There is a long wait for a taxi at the hotel if you call on an app, for example, and taxi at the hotel are quite expensive. If you have a car or a bike, the location is great. And more of a wish than a minus - some kind of dryer for swimsuits on the veranda would be nice.
firstly, a very beautiful territory, green and well-groomed. Large swimming pool surrounded by greenery and trees - very nice to admire. good breakfasts - tasty, good choice, european and local cuisine. Having your own beach is a definite plus - there are enough sun loungers, excellent snorkeling. Yes, when the tide goes out, rocks are exposed, but in high water you can swim perfectly, you just need to follow the tide schedule. There is rental equipment for snorkeling, but only for adults. The main attraction for children is a mini-zoo for an hour twice a day :) Mini pigs, parrots, turtles, pigeons and rabbits. You can feed and pet them - very interesting for both children and adults.
