Richmond Barracks offers 3 self-contained cottages, located in a private garden setting, in the village of Richmond.

Complimentary WiFi and secure off-street parking is available to all guests staying at the Richmond Barracks. All cottages contain heating/air-conditioning, a flat screen TV, DVD player, electric blankets and a fully-equipped kitchenette.

The room is compact but perfectly adequate for two people. The winners here were the extra, thoughtful little touches that set this accommodation apart from most we have stayed in. Equally, no bargain priced appliances or fittings were to be found, only good quality throughout. Scrupulously clean and tidy, Just two minutes walk to the main street, it would be hard to find fault with Richmond Barracks (We were in "The Cellar" room - lovely!).

Set on a lovely property featuring a vineyard, olive grove and river, Taras Richmond Farmstay offers country-style accommodation with free breakfast and free WiFi. Guests can interact with a variety of local farm animals including lambs, sheep, ponies and ducks.

LOVED IT! From driving down the well maintained farm track, to the warm welcome, to the animals, to the banter, to the breakfasts! Kim and Sharon are lovely hosts, and are passionate about what they do, where they live and the animals (farm and domestic) they share their lives with. They are also very easy to chat to. The unit we stayed in was perfect - and immaculately clean. The bed linen was hotel standard. The breakfast is delivered at a time between 7:30 and 8:30, and consists of warm, freshly baked bread, homemade jam, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, plunger coffee granules, and, if you are lucky, freshly laid chicken eggs (you cook them how you like them). I can't wait to recommend, and to revisit. The only negative comment is that I didn't get to see the new 'home' for their duck, known as Thousand Dollar Duck! A new pond was being installed for it. ☺️😂

Taras Richmond Farmstay was confortable and homely. We conpletely made ourselves at home and felt very relaxed. We had a good stay. We enjoyed the warm bread and lovely nreakfast spread. We also enjoyed the lovely conversations with Kim. It has also a good location which is near Richmond, Sorell and a couple of farms. This is a good stop if you wish to travel to Port Arthur and Mount Wellington.

We stayed in Jessie’s Cottage, it was cosy and very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the cooking facilities and the little extras such as herbs and spices, pod coffee and plenty of crockery etc. It was a relaxing setting on a farm with a lovely view but we were still close enough to walk into town.

It was a pleasant stay in a relaxing atmosphere. The free breakfasts were lovely. It was quiet and you're able to roam the property freely. The efforts put into making the property eco friendly and sustainable are amazing. The location is close to Richmond and has great views.

This charming cottage is comfortable and cosy. The wood burning fire was welcoming on arrival and lovely to relax in front of in the evenings. The cottage is well-appointed and exceptionally clean, and perfect for two people. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was more than sufficient. It is a short and easy walk into Richmond over the historic bridge. We will definitely stay again.

Great location and lovely buildings set in gorgeous grounds right by the historic Richmond bridge (you can see it from the bedroom window). Friendly hosts, cosy, generous breakfast provisions with freshly baked bread, thank you, yum! Was delighted to see one of my favourite movies in the extensive DVD collection, which we watched from the reclining couch! Walked to the local hotel for dinner and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you.
