I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in Ouro Preto. The pousada is lovely, complete with colonial vibe, and the service professional and attentive. I really appreciated the van service to take people to and from the center of town (so you could leave your car parked at the pousada). I also liked that you got to choose what you wanted for breakfast and where it would be served. With good weather, the outside patio was a lovely spot for it! Will definitely stay here again.

Outstanding crew. An historical building. We had a nice and cozy room with an explendid view. The pool is tiny but was the first pool in the entire city and is protected by historical authorities. No changes can be made. The owners are always present and offers anyone all the attention needed. It is a catholic enviroment but no proselytism. Just an historical situation. Any denominations will be at home and feel confortable. Breakfast is included in hotel rate with huge variety of local products. There is a parking lot. Two water streams runs on both sides of the building and the hotel is Eco friendly. Sometimes we thought it was raining but it was just the water stream's sounds. Funny. Turned out it was like a lullaby. We loved to stay there. I recommend this hotel. As an historical building there are limitations in soudproofing. But, in my experience, guest's politeness is what makes the diference.

Definitely a superior hotel in comparison to standard brazilian hotels, located 18km from downtown ouro preto. Beautiful property, very well decorated. Comfortable bedrooms, with amazing showers. Beautiful Pool. It also has a pool table and Foosball. Small gym with weights and a treadmill which were pretty handy! We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a lot of variety. Fantastic staff. Comfortable rooms, but particularly the breakfast was a positive surprise. They had many options of cake, bread, fruit juices and protein. When we booked we didn't know the hotel had a jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna which was also a positive surprise.
