The Loge is stunning. A lovely suite in a very old building (wooden beams, part exposed stone walls), it is nevertheless provided with modern facilities. Access is via a very old, circular stone stairway, leading to a large door. But...the presentation on first entry (about 10pm) is a revelation - soft lighting at the windows and under the kitchen cabinets and a lovely warm feeling. It has superb equipment, very comfortable bed and lovely (and new) bathroom facilities. The welcome pack was extensive, covering drinks and (in our case) breakfast items. Location-wise it couldn't be better. Just inside the old town, bars, cafes and restaurants (bistros, bouchons and Michelin-starred) are all within a short walking distance - the nearest metro station, Vieux Lyon, is no more than 200m away. A couple of pre-visit questions to the owners were answered very quickly, their communication was exemplary. All-in-all it made for a lovely holiday.
