Location was ideal- 20 mins from station, 8 mins from the centre of the town. You can hear the river outside with a good view if it! Exceptionally friendly and warm service from the guesthouse owner. The room had everything I needed. Very warm and comfortable.

We liked the location, the comfortable quiet accomodations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hosts Wendy and Richard were friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. we had some really nice walks thanks to them. Kendal is a lovely little town with an ancient history. The little windy streets and buildings were charming. It was so easy, as well, to get deeper into the lake district. We would definitely stay here again.

Well-appointed property, fluffy luxury towels, complimentary welcome basket included a bottle of wine! A lovely setting and beautiful views from every window, although quite a dangerous position as close to a turn and slightly concealed entrance. Good facilities, very clean and comfortable beds. I could happily live there :) I wish there was a facility to add additional photos here.

The hotel put a card and a box of chocolates in the room which was a lovely surprise! The view was amazing from our room. We enjoyed using the pool and steam room - very relaxing. The room itself was very clean, staff were happy to help and the breakfast was outstanding with a good variety of everything. We asked for a window seat and that was no problem for the staff member!

The staff were very helpful and always had a smile on their faces, the gym facilities was well equipped and the Jacuzzi was wonderful. The room had a view of the river and was quite spacious. I told reception it was our wedding anniversary and they gave us the most beautiful table overlooking the gardens. They also gave us an anniversary balloon which was a lovely gesture. We were given a free room upgrade and had the most amazing suite overlooking the picturesque grounds. Thank you to all of the staff for making our anniversary stay so special.
