We arrived late after the check in time . Our fault completely . The manageress went well beyond her responsibilities to drive to us and let us in . We were so grateful . I could not recommend highly enough . She did not need to come to help us .. but she did , which says everything about her and we were incredibly grateful .. thank you so much for going above and beyond xxx

The breakfast was fine. Great ambience, lovely beer garden and very relaxing atmosphere. It's well located and about a 30 minute walk to Matlock Bath which is pleasant. The area the pub is in is very well situated and more quiet.

Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and we didn't want for anything. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a busy day, with good views across the countryside, lovely and quiet too. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated.

The area is lovely, we enjoyed the walks and greenery. We went for a night to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We got the superior room. (This is the honeymoon suite) which the room size was amazing. The massive bath was a lovely touch to the room as we really wanted a quiet romantic night away. We loved the fact that our bed had chocolate mints left and the coffee and tea facilities in the room gave a good choice.

A bag of little things, a box of biscuits and a bottle of wine on the table, that was lovely surprise. Lovely and welcoming atmosphere when we got there, we all felt relaxed. The area is stunning, plenty of good walks. Good pubs too. Definitely would be coming back there again. The owners were brilliant too.

It was central to lots of lovely places to visit, and we were given good recommendations from the hosts on local places to eat and visit. A very comfortable place to relax after a day out, with stunning views. The double jacuzzi bath was a great help to smooth away the aches and pains of a days sightseeing. Our hosts always checked we were okay when they were in the garden and left some lovely scones for us to eat on our arrival.
