The staff were exceptionally helpful and made us up a take away continental breakfast for our early morning departure. The Chargrill restaurant provided a brilliant meal and wine choice and the lounge and out door garden area provide relaxed areas to sit and enjoy a quiet moment.

We stay at the Gate Lodge, which was really special and a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable. Great shower and extra large cast iron tub. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

The place is embedded in a wonderful scenery and strategically ideal for exploring the upper part of Skye or reaching the ferry at Uig. I loved my room, too. It was tastefully decorated and super clean. The bed was very comfortable. The owners are very kind and arranged to leave the front door unlocked for me. Due to a rental car breakdown, I arrived after 11 pm at night and this wasn't an issue for them. Breakfast is continental and essential but good. Next time, I will definitely stay longer, not just one night and just sit outside in the garden and take in the gorgeous peace and beauty it has to offer. Clear recommendation.

To be honest, the hosts were just so kind, the place was so clean, it was a pleasure to stay here. Only point to keep in mind is you need a car to get into the city (or bike, or cab), but it is placed on the side of a beautiful body of water, and was absolutely gorgeous. Would highly recommend!

The house and all aspects of the rooms are beautiful, well arranged, confortable and clean. Not to say about the warm welcoming by the lovely host when we arrived and the superb location almost in the heart of Portree. I recommend it to anyone looking for a confy and relaxing stay.
