The initial welcome was second to none. We were introduced and made to feel right at home. The room was comfortable with everything you could require catered for. The breakfast, well that was just on another level. The fruit salad to start was a delight, the cooked breakfast was simply out of this world. Not a drop of fat or grease to be found anywhere with everything done to an exceptional standard. The freshness of the ingredients was easy to spot and enjoy. As I said on departure, the best cooked breakfast I have any anywhere. Simple as that!

Location perfect for exploring, handy for station too.. Loved the building and the atmosphere, lovely to see part of Scarborough's heritage intact.Hosts were great very helpful and interesting, staff pleasant and obviously happy working at the Windmill. Will visit again.

Excellent facilities, room spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast and great location for all local facilities. Hosts were extremely polite, friendly, helpful and smiley throughout our visit. We loved everything about The Russell so will definitely be returning next year! Would recommend 100% to anyone wishing to stay in Scarborough. Thank you for your hospitality throughout what has been an uncertain time with Covid 19 for everyone but especially challenging for the hospitality industry...you're doing great so keep going!

Great little place to stay, lovely room with great facilities and views. Close to Taylors at North Bay for a lovely meal and ideal for a good walk round seafront. Will definitely book again.

- Steve and Karen were amazing hosts and I loved chatting with them - Steve was super helpful with local recommendations - We loved the location - quiet yet close to all the attractions - Lovely breakfast and bar to hang out in the evenings - The hotel is so well curated - I loved all the knick knacks - It's been done up with so much care and passion and there is a story behind every item
