Absolutely excellent location, perfect room with a view of the Abbey remains - the room could not have been better. With a brilliant classic movie theme, luxury bedding and furnishings you could not ask for a better location of room. John and Joos were very warm, and their hospitality made us feel at home. John was very helpful and carried our luggage to the third story room where we had stayed. He gave us the car park coupon for 3 days. He also helped us to load our luggage to our car even though it's raining when we leave. Joos explained to us the things to do in Whitby and gave us the map. The lady who served us the breakfast was very friendly, helpful, kind, and chatty. When we asked for extra toast, she gave us to us with a smile. Their wifi is very good and easily accessible.

Everything - a beautiful building, spotless, cute and comfortable room, quiet, enough space for 2, and, very importantly, free off street parking. We were able to walk everywhere but you need to be reasonably fit as the streets are very steep in parts. Jayne could not have been more welcoming and helpful, a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

Recently updated - nice clean rooms with comfortable bed. Hot water in shower. There is a lockbox system to pick up the key. The email with the code was sent to my phone and I had no issues checking in (even checked in a couple of hours early).

The hosts Paul & Sharon could not do enough to ensure that our stay was special. Their breakfasts were delivered to our room on time and were full and varied. The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The hotel situation was ideal for the beach (at the end of the road) and within a fifteen minute walk or four minute drive from the town centre.
