The rooms are amazing, we went to a wedding in the area, so didn’t have much time here, I just wish I had stayed for an extra night to try the food as well.

Danielle, the proprietor, is absolutely lovely. She takes a special interest in every guest. The location is outstanding! We could walk the whole city easily from there and felt quite safe even after dark. Breakfast options were excellent and the parking plentiful.

Everything. Couldn't fault anything ☺️. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel was just stunning. Being a lover of history and architecture it's a truly stunning hotel. The location was perfect. Close to everything, but still quiet.

The location was perfect - a quick walk and 6 minute train ride to York and easy getaway to the Yorkshire Dales. Jonathan and Linda made everything easy, advised on our travels and provided passes to the minster which we would not have otherwise seen. Linda made provisions for a gluten free breakfast - key! It was a lovely stay.

The owners, Michal and Gaby, are very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. They make you feel at home straight from the start. They know a lot about York and North Yorkshire and have provided us with very useful information about what there is to see and also which restaurants to go to. The B&B is strategically situated on the road near the town centre, at less than 10 minute’s walk. We had a lovely room with an en suite on the first floor at the front. The beds are made up daily, the bathroom is cleaned daily, it is all very clean. The pub downstairs is a hub for the locals and the guests, friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is very good, English and continental. We certainly recommend the Burton Stone Inn!
