The hotel is gorgeous and well kept. The view from every window is breathtaking. The building is well preserved without being stuffy or ancient. Everyone in the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. When we mentioned being gluten intolerant, they made up a cute breakfast basket for us, with lots of gf products. Very thoughtful! They also recommended several restaurants to us. One that we went to had amazing gf pizza. Yum! They recommended transportation to us when we left for the train station.

Metropolis was situated in an old building and the vibe was very nice, from the entrance in the block till the apartment lounge which is covered in art and paintings, very nice decorated. The room was very big and clean with a high old ceiling, the bed super comfy and it had a nice balcony. The host was very lovely, helpful and eager to help us with lots of details and questions. 🌸

Lovely views from the restaurant and bedroom. It was quite wild and windy during our stay, so we didn't try a swim in the sea just below the hotel, but watched some amazing waves. There was an area to eat outside where we had breakfast. The room also has mosquito netting which is a great idea for other times. The hotel had been used in 60s cult film The Easy Life / Il Sorpasso which was interesting to watch. No noise from the nearby road. A great drive there with some dramatic coastline where the sea produced some huge waves. There were some areas to pull in and admire the scenery.
