I stayed only for one night of a business trip (September). Since I was on a very variable schedule, I had to be continuously in contact with the reception in terms of my arrival time - they were always available and very supportive (even though I arrived an hour after the maximum check in time). The hotel is on an excellent location by the sea, which offers the opportunity to walk - we walked on 7 am. Amazing breakfast. The most important is the excellent building of the hotel - we actually reffered to it with my colleagues as "the mansion".

I have chosen Livorno for our first days in Tuscany and I don't regret it. Metropolis was situated in an old building and the vibe was very nice, from the entrance in the block till the apartment lounge which is covered in art and paintings, very nice decorated. The room was very big and clean with a high old ceiling, the bed super comfy and it had a nice balcony. The host was very lovely, helpful and eager to help us with lots of details and questions. 🌸

Lovely views from the restaurant and bedroom. It was quite wild and windy during our stay, so we didn't try a swim in the sea just below the hotel, but watched some amazing waves. There was an area to eat outside where we had breakfast. The room also has mosquito netting which is a great idea for other times. The hotel had been used in 60s cult film The Easy Life / Il Sorpasso which was interesting to watch. No noise from the nearby road. A great drive there with some dramatic coastline where the sea produced some huge waves. There were some areas to pull in and admire the scenery.
