Newly renovated rooms. Very clean and gorgeous views over the lake. There was a problem with the booking but the staff was very attentive and made sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was excellent and they also had good gluten free options. Dinner was good but not great.

The host's hospitality added a personal touch that made our trip memorable. The view and location was our favourite - with a beautiful short walk down to Stresa. I love this hotel! The staff is very helpful, polite, talkative and kind. The view from the room was amazing. Very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The hotel is very old-kind-exclusive, so you can feel a bit like James Bond (Sean Connery style). Breakfast was delicious and once again - the service will make you feel like royalty. I must say - It was our first time in northern Italy and I have to admit that there is a different, calmer and friendlier atmosphere here than, for example, in Rome or on the Amalfi coast. An ideal place to relax. Grazie mille!

Breakfast was wonderful, with everything from meats to croissants to cheeses. Room was very clean, with roomy balcony with table and chairs and a great view. Staff was personable, friendly and helpful all the time.
