So nice and relaxing by the beach with amazing views. Very peaceful with all the wildlife and cute penguins nesting under the deck. There a cool little path down to the beach which is lovely and great to swim in .

A lovely place in a stunning environment and particularly amazing and super helpful owners. The pool and breakfast are really good.

Room is spacious with one large queen and a single bed. Toilet and bathroom is clean. I stayed on ground floor with an open door to the garden overlooking the sea. Excellent view and provide chairs so we can relax outside our room with a lovely sea view. Parking is behind the property. Overall the property is great with everything we need.

What a great stay we had at the River Suites! Nicolas and Dhea are the most welcoming hosts. Although the rooms are a bit outdated, they’re very clean and great value for money, and they’re to be upgraded soon. And not to mention Nicolas’ cooking skills were superb! His 7-course diner (only Thursday - Saturday) is unreal and very reasonably priced for the quality. Would definitely recommend and come back here!

Beautiful location overlooking American River and lovely hosts. Breakfast was included, just wish we had more time to sit and enjoy the fantastic location. There is so much to do on Kangaroo Island we will need to come back to relax and enjoy the hospitality. Just be mindful that dinner options are limited so plan ahead. The venue is going to add a restaurant in the future which will make the stay even better.

the location and view was awesome. having the restaurant downstairs was a bonus. Chris and NZ young girl were awesome at the restaurant. pleasant, professional and friendly and informative the bottle of champagne and crackers and cheese was lovely from management to celebrate our wedding anniversary the reception girl was helpful and pleasant on arrival and very helpful with a small payment issue. this was all sorted within 24 hours. thank you

The view was amazing! All the wildlife was wonderful! Just a lovely spot, could’ve stayed and relaxed here for so much longer. Simple and very comfortable little cabin. I’ll be recommending Waves & Wildlife to everyone!

Love the location, although it was a bit of a drive to get food or go to cool places it was amazing to be able to relax on the balcony and not hear anyone else. The house was awesome and the owner was lovely.
