This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Great place overall. Very nice location along the river below the park. The highlight was the warm and welcoming owner and the lovingly set up breakfast room. Excellent food and lots of nice choices. No detail was missed and it made for a special start to the day.

Offering a garden and a sun terrace, Pension Waldhäusl is quietly located in Bad Schandau, just a 6-minute drive from the River Elbe. Lovely idyllic hotel with a truly personal welcome and service. The building oozes character and charm: bedrooms modern, perfect size and facilities. Great breakfast. Dinners which can be had if pre-ordered are superb. The hotel is just above the road, which itself is quiet. Footpaths into the woods and mountains within a couple of minutes. Located just outside Bad Schandau, a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by the famous tram which stops outside (bus also, but why use this!) We had no car, only used public transport, or walked - it was perfect. There is so much to see and do in and around Bad Schandau, and this is the perfect hotel to base yourself.

Quietly located in the heart of Wehlen's historic centre, the Wehlener Hof is just 100 metres from the banks of the Elbe River. It offers hearty buffet breakfasts, garden with a terrace and a bar. Lovely hotel with an amazing breakfast. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Perfect location for hiking and exploring nature.

Our beautiful holiday home is close to the center and only a few minutes' walk from the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Modernly furnished with Italian flair. A very nice and well-decorated room, I loved the style. Everything you need, and most importantly very comfortable beds. Location is beautiful, the view from the terrace is stunning.

Hotel Elbparadies is situated in Pirna, 5 km from Baroque Garden Großsedlitz. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant with its beer garden directly at the Elbe. Nice clean room, nice breakfast (maybe not exceptional, but what did you expect?), nice choice of traditional meals, beer, and wine in the hotel restaurant, which serves 5-10 pm (kitchen closes at 9 pm).

The accommodations were just as described, clean, comfortable and well tended. My husband & I both appreciated the service provided by every member of the staff. We speak very little German, and found that they went above & beyond to speak English , to understand our questions & point us in the right direction.

An excellent hotel, among the more successful in town, very clean, staff who speak English (this is a rare thing in this part of Germany). Huge room, excellent shower, amazing and very large and indulgent breakfast. Located right in the main square, there are lots of restaurants and cafes around
