The terrace offers stunning views of the Gulf of Poets, the castle, and the old town. Amazing location — great view at the sea. Just a short 2 minutes walk to the harbor/marina with all the restaurants and stuff there. We really enjoyed the stay

Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner are served at the on-site Lord Byron restaurant, overlooking Tigullio Gulf. The à-la-carte Eden Roc restaurant is at the private beach, open in summer for both lunch and dinner. We stayed here for our 25th anniversary trip to Italy on our way from the Lake Como area and before visiting Portofino and the Cinque Terre and Tuscany. The hotel was very kind to upgrade us to a beautiful bay view with balcony. It was spectacular. We had a drink there and then ate in their restaurant, which was good. Breakfast was also very good and had lots of options. Espresso drinks were wonderful. I chose this hotel because it also had a nice gym, and I enjoyed it and its spectacular view. We were hoping to eat at the seaside restaurant and sit by the pool because the weather was in the 80s, but they were clsoed for the season. :( We visited Santa Marguirita Ligure, which was lovely, for lunch, and very close by.

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Monterosso al Mare, like walking tours and pub crawls. Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Room and premises were very clean with all the right necessities. Good strong shower and hair blower which was greatly appreciated and good recommendations for dinner. I had some difficulty with the approximately 30 steps as the apt was on top floor, but I managed and Giorgio was very helpful in bringing up my suitcase. Location of building was perfect, very central and easy to find. After visiting all the villages, I was very happy I chose Monterosso as our home base because it had the greatest amenities, great restaurants, beautiful churches, the largest of the villages, a nice beach with umbrellas and above all, it is not hilly! We parked in the Loretta carpark, arrived at 4 pm and 3 spots were available. We stayed 2 nights and visited all the villages in one day by express train which I highly recommend as trains pass every 20 min. We bought the train pass, 18 E for the day at the ticket office by the train station. Overall a fabulous 2 days and a very satisfactory stay at Marianna Quiet Rooms.
