This was our third trip to the Pousada at Belmont, and as usual found it a truly relaxing and beautiful place to stay, with professional and helpful staff. It was so nice to see a competent and helpful person in charge of the restaurant, same as when we last visited.

Located in Alvoco das Várzeas, Quinta das Levadas - Country House & Nature offers accommodation with seating area. Breakfast was incredible with a fantastic view as well!

The Alva Valley Hotel sits on the confluence of Alvoco and Alva rivers, in the quaint Ponte das Três Entradas. It is 10 km from Oliveira do Hospital and 24 km from Piódão. Great breakfast! Charming staff willing to learn how to make desired cocktails. For our king-bed room there was a huge balcony the allowed us to dry laundry.

Located within 600 metres of Manteigas Hot Springs, SerraVale in Manteigas offers a garden, as well as free WiFi. Among the various facilities of the rustic property are a shared lounge and a bar. The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and everything was very clean. Breakfasts were excellent and greatly exceeded my expectations. Our host Else, was very warm and kind with suggestions of sights and itineraries that we might like to see. She was very attentive to make sure we knew where walking paths started and described the route, phoned to make reservations for dinner etc - couldn't have been kinder!
