A lot of attention to detail, overall great experience! Many facilities, great massage, good wellness area (would be better if access to outside would be open for cooling down), kids area and good breakfast.

Wine tasting and tour was exceptional. The guide was very informed and pleasant. My meal that evening was one of the best I've had in a Portugal since arriving two weeks ago. Huge compliments to the chef. The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly.

The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. It is highly recommended place to stay. The view..fabulous. The restaurant..exquisite cuisine. Location..excellent.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had an excellent breakfast, with tasty preserves made by the owners using their own produce. They were able to provide gluten free bread, which was great. The owners and staff are making important efforts to operate a green establishment.
