Breakfast buffet was excellent and a high quality everyday. All the staff are super friendly and really helpful, very knowledgeable on the area and can help with local taxis, tours etc. Went out of their way to offer us two different rooms to choose from on arrival. Was fun that we could all share a room as friends in 3 separate beds.

The staff are so helpful - and the view is amazing. You won't find a cleaner room or a more comfortable bed. It's our third time staying and we will be back. Breakfast was great - ignore the comments about wasps...we saw more wasps on Antesamo Beach.

Location is fabulous. Located in a quintessential Greek village, there is a square which boasts a bakery/cafe, a good restaurant and a church. There's a taverna on the beach, which is a couple of minutes walk from apartment. Also, it's a nice walk along the seafront to Sami, the closest town.
Decently equipped kitchen. Excellent balcony. Comfortable bed and amazing hot shower!

We really enjoyed our accommodation in villas Iliachtides. The landscape , the gardens and all the scenery was very beautiful and peaceful and very well decorated. Οutdoor areas of the villas and the pool area were very clean, organised and beautiful. I have never seen such a beautiful garden in my life. The inside of the villa has many conviniences , it is modern and all the areas were very clean. Airconditions are everywhere inside the villa and we had warm water whenever we wanted. We cooked in the kitchen every day because it is spaceful and has all the conviniences. Also there is a dish washer, a laundry and all these things made our life very easy. The parking area is huge and free. The view was amazing as we could see all the ocean and the mountains! It was like a painting. The hostess was very friendly and she helped us a lot. We have already decided to book the villa again next year.

My recent stay at the apartment was such a wonderful experience.
Upon arrival, I was impressed by the apartment's cleanliness and modern decor, the space was thoughtfully designed and the sea view was amazing!
The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for me to prepare meals during my stay.
The location couldn't have been better – just steps away from the sea.
Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made me feel welcome.

Strategic location in the middle of the island - everything is close. Quiet and clean village with a good bakery close to the hotel (with breakfasts and a good coffee). And mainly - Antisamos Beach is just 15 minutes drive from Karavomylos. It's for sure the best beach in Kefalonia, don't look for any other. Sun beds for free, restaurant with a great food and a perfect coffee (+ very friendly staff), white pebbles beach and a lot of places for parking.LucieCzech Republic - 10Scored 10

Karavomylos is a beautiful location by the sea. The thoroughfare has shops and all amenities you would need. The area by the water is just stunning and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Our favourite place to eat is at the Karavomylos Taverna, where Georgios and his staff make you feel very welcome. The food in incredible! Karavomylos is a wonderful location to stay with its proximity to many attractions.

We visited 15-24 October and some restaurants and shops were already closed for the season. But those tavernas/restaurants that were open were excellent. No crowds and very little traffic. Quiet traditional small Greek town with very friendly people. Harbour area is pleasant area to stroll in the evening. Antisamos beach is close by and worth a visit. Pebble beach but clear water very quiet at this time of the year, relaxing. Plenty of tavernas and restaurants, mini-markets and ferry terminal to Ithika. Fiscardo is worth a visit if you can stomach the mountain drive - some very high, narrow and winding roads - beautiful views but not for the feint hearted.

Karavomylos is a lovely village situated on the east coast of Kefalonia, close to and within walking distance of the working port town of Sami, with it lovely restaurants and shops. Close by are areas of natural beauty such as Melissani lake, the ancient city of Same and the new addition of Odysseus zoo land. Horse riding and donkey trekking are available also. Being relatively centrally located makes it a good starting point to explore the island, but if you stay local then there are plenty of beaches to choose from.BettinaUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

A nice quiet seaside place with beautiful views of Ithaca. Easy walk along the beach to Sami for good choice of bars and restaurants. The beach nearer to Sami was very good and you can.use the campsite facilities, including bars and a pool. You can also get buses up the coast to lovely beaches and Agia Effimia. Local taverna amd bakery were great!

It’s on the outskirts of Sami and very quiet - just a church, a bakery, a children’s activity playground (for young children) a mini market and a taverna. The road is very close to the water’s edge, so it’s not exactly a pebble beach but you can sit on the bench and watche the sea and admire Ithaca. It’s about a mile walk along the sea path to Sami. We ate at Adonis in Adam I and weren’t impressed - it was okay but a bit generic. Mermaid, however, was lovely - fabulous stifado and burger. The local Taverna at Karavomylos did dry Moussaka one night and perfect Moussaks another night, chicken souvlaki that was moist and beautiful with fab chips, and the best stuffed peppers I’ve ever tasted. The bakery in Karavomylos is good enough to eat dessert in - try the orange pie and chocolate pie and their kadafia and baklava. Incredibly goodTanyaUnited Kingdom

Because he and his family own a couple of hotels down the street you have access to a nice pool with a bar and sun lounges on the beach. Makis is always behind the bar in Hotel Athina where you can pick up your keys and will help you out with anything.
