The hotel is in a great location, on the Lake. The staff were all terrific. The check in process was smooth, and the rooms were luxurious. We had lunch and complementary breakfast in the dining hall, and it did not disappoint. The range of food offerings was terrific. Moreover, the staff were very accommodating. Despite these being buffet meals, the staff were readily available and showed keenness to serve us a wide variety of items. We were assigned a personal assistant, who was friendly and flexible, and gave us a great tour of the entire "palace". We had a special dinner at the Sheesh Mahal, the offerings and quality of the food was par excellent. The service was impeccable.

Everything about the property, the staff and service was beyond excellent. The whole experience was magical. From the warm welcome, to staff addressing us by our first names, the personal touch and care every step of the way made our stay in Udaivilas memorable. Our bed was super comfortable and the toiletries were luxurious. We had a garden room with a courtyard from there we could see peacocks during the morning and evenings. There are complimentary kids activities. The food in the restaurant was also fantastic. We were offered dishes not listed on the menu a few times. I loved the live (music, instrumental, dance) performances. It seemed to us staff have a single minded focus on making their guests feel very very special and they did succeed in our case. We hope to return in the near future.
