Bruno, the host, was very helpful and friendly, and was very supportive but not intrusive. he was excellent.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, casa das ameias is located in Folgosa. This holiday home has a private pool, a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is set 12 km from Douro Museum. It is even better than in the pictures. The house is located in the middle of an athletic village, on the hill with grape wines and orange trees. A small church is nearby. The view can not be better. You can hear bells and roosters. We arrived late in the rainy evening. The owner was there to meet and greet us. He quickly showed us the property. We appreciated the little welcome touches like cookies and milk. No problem with the parking. And it is easy to get from the place to wineries and other local attractions.

A nice check-in present with coffee capsules, bread and cookies and also home made wine! Smooth communication although I spoke English and the host Portuguese. You can find free parking very close to the place. Well recommended place!

Very clean, kitchen had everything you need including basic spices and there was plenty of hot water for showers.
