The house was well situated between port Ellen and Bowmore, making it an ideal location for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Glenegedale House offers accommodations in Glenegedale and is located 5 miles from Port Ellen and 6 miles from Bowmore. Each room includes a flat-screen TV. Every detail in the house has been cararefully thought and chosen, very sophisticated and cozy. Emma and Graeme wonderful hosts.

Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. I got an unexpected upgrade, and the staff were really amazing. I had a night flight and they let me leave my bag to go explore during the day and were happy to let me lounge there until it was time for me to leave for the airport. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodations in the center of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. Exceptional! A cozy, no-frills guest house within walking distance of three world class distilleries. Our host Niall was simply amazing. He and his family are incredibly welcoming and you almost feel like you are part of the family. They will “get you sorted” with using the local buses, where to grab a bite, who to call for a taxi and whatever else you might be wondering about. Exceptional hosts. The distilleries were great but these fine people will be what we remember most fondly about our stay on Islay.

Located on Islay, Dha Urlar offers 4-star accommodations with a garden and a shared lounge. Featuring a tour desk, this property also has outside decking. An excellent experience. Hosts Jim and Caroline were superb and we were made to feel very welcome, as well as gaining some very helpful insight into what to do (and not do!). Breakfast was delicious and the accommodation top-notch. We hope to return again soon.

Cala Sith Guesthouse offers accommodations in Port Ellen, a 2-minute walk from White Hart Beach and 1.3 miles from Kilnaughton Beach. The location is close to the ferry with a lovely view of the sea. The breakfast was great with warm croissant and a selection of fruit and cereals, coffee and tea. The room was comfortable and clean and the host was very friendly.

An Cuan Bed & Breakfast offers accommodations in Bowmore. Featuring sea and garden views, this bed and breakfast also includes free Wifi. The room was cozy and very comfortable, with a bit of modern and designers touch. The location is great, literally close to everywhere tourist need in a short walk distance (bars, restaurants, the Bowmore distillery, local shops) and with a plenty of parking space. The homemade breakfast with a wide variety of ingredients for choice was delicious and helped to start a day in a right mood. But the real gem was a pair of lovely and very responsive hosts, Brigit & George, that were there for every need and gave very useful tips and recommendations.
