Letterkenny (1 miles from Donegal Airport)
Mullaghderg Banks offers accommodations in Letterkenny, a 17-minute walk from Carrickfinn Beach and 8.4 miles from Gweedore Golf Club. Absolutley idealic setting, near the village of Kincasslagh. A real gem with four double bedrooms, and one ground-floor single, it sleeps nine people comfortably and has a ground-floor shower room, which was perfect for my disabled sister. We had a fantastic Easter week with all our family able to stay.We loved the open-plan living room and kitchen-dining area. The open fire was lovely when the night chill set in. They have a newly built decking area, which makes the most of the beautiful views of the many lakes, and was a real sunspot for the sun-worshipers. Mullaghderg Banks is an excellent property near some of the most stunning beaches and coastal walks of the Gaeltacht in Ireland. Definetly need transport (there is a local taxi bus which you can ring), as most of the amenities are a fair walk too, but we had the car,we travelled mostly into Annagry for shopping and some cracker pubs there, as well as Crolly, Teach Leo, Tech Tassie, Duffy's, Sharkeys to name but a few, and we deffintely perfered it to the local Bonners (but thats to do with their service - but didnt put a damper on our holiday). We travelled over to Arranmore for the day, absolutely beautiful and would recommend. We had fantastic weather and by chance we met one of the local councillors Mícheál Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig, a fantastic asset to Donegal in his own right, who extended hospitality that was outstanding, arranged to met with us, and showed us some amazing walks, history of the area, and even organised a tour of the Crolly distillary (which is yet to open to the public)... deffintley be revisting the Crolly Distillary again :). Mícheál, also brought us to the local community centre where he prepared a lovely dinner for us all, and explained his aspirations for the local Gaeltacht area, We met some fantastic people had a fantastic break and will definately be returning hopefully soon.

Beautiful little village, huge choice of beaches and also has options for sea fishing trips. Not too far from Dungloe if you need a supermarket, and the Chinese takeaway in nearby Annagry is fantastic.
The bedroom plenty of room and a see view.Clean and tidy and you can make a cuppa.Sea view bedrooms and the beaches very close. We would stay again we had relatives to visit a very nice hotel no problem for anything you ask for great food what more could could you ask for.
Anagaire is the hub of the Rosses Gaeltacht. Facilities, services and accommodation is readily available and the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. If you are planning a trip to Northwest Donegal, Anagaire is a must. Sharkey’s has the best guinness, Caisleáin Óir has amazing value for money food and Danny Minnie’s is as close to Michelin star food & service as you’ll get.
Lovely place, a good base to explore Donegal. It was a shame the pub was closed during our trip. Good for long walks and exploring Donegal. Do visit the Slieve League Cliffs and Glenveagh National Park. The castle is lovely with a great garden. If you can, bring your bikes. Arranmore Island is a lovely day out but on a nice day,not when the weather is bad.
First, you need a car! The beaches and scenery are spectacular and uncrowded. The people are friendly and welcoming. Within a 15 mile radius there are some great eating establishments. Generally pubs with great craic and music. Love the area.
Beautiful town great book store and mighty craic. Nightly traditional music and good food. Their post office is still operating which can't be said for many towns it's size and minutes away from Carrickfinn Donegal Airport a great link to Dublin for flights to other countries.
