Billy en z’n ouders zijn hele fijne mensen! We hebben er 6 nachten geslapen omdat en ons verblijf verlengd. We zijn op scooter safari geweest en hebben samen met Billy en een klein groepje helaas wat heftigs meegemaakt tijdens de scooter safari. Een ongeluk met een redelijk traumatische ervaring. Met die reden zal ik nu niet verwachten dat de activiteiten op dit moment doorgaan. Let daar dus op als je boekt. Verder is het verblijf en het personeel geweldig. De locatie van Hakuna Matata is erg goed. Ligt net buiten de drukke baai, maar je bent er te voet zo. Kamers zijn goed schoon en comfortabel. Ook zonder de activiteiten is Hakuna Matata zeker een aanrader!

The key was the wonderful staff. Nisha and her brother Kani were amazing. So kind helpful and thoughtful. The best customer service ever. Superbly clean facilities. Great quiet location .

My stay at Beach Cap was fantastic the staff really make this small hotel amazing. The friendly staff provided an excellent laundry service and will make the best coffee in the morning they have become close friends because of the way they are and their hospitality. Nayeem the manager runs the accommodation very well and will even take you excursions to see elements and crocodiles. The local Tuk Tuk driver Mauna would go out of his way to take you anywhere you want at a very reasonable price even for a morning surf at 4:30 am The room was excellent with a large very comfortable double bed, good air conditioning and its own private en-suite shower room that was very clean. There is also a private courtyard attached to each room with a hammock coffee table and a few chairs I can put my hand on my heart and say that this is the very best place that I have stayed ❤️

As fresh as a daisy. The staff and service provided were top noch. Sri lankan hospitality at its finest. With attention and care given to every detail, but not in an intrusive way. All requests were met with a smile. Villa was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Most amazing was the convenience of lovely sunrise at the beach in front of Villa, sunset views and very quiet place. Really enjoyed my stay here, the room was basic but had everything I needed. Mosquito net worked very well and the bathroom/shower was spacious. I was greeted with a smile every time and Murshith was super friendly and really enjoyed getting to know you. He also helped arrange a surf lesson for me last minute and it was one of my favorite activities I did in Arugam Bay. Extremely close to the beach, just 1-2 minute walk and very close to restaurants and all the action at night.

Great location, 5 minutes walk to Arugam Beach. Beautiful setting, rooms are nice and good value for money. Very helpful and friendly staff who told us about a nearby area to see wild elephants at sunset! Very filling tasty breakfast one morning too, really wonderful stay

We loved staying at the Jungle House! The room and the bathroom were very clean and beds were made almost every day. Bins were also emptied. The guesthouse has a very nice and aesthetic vibe and Laura is an amazing host! She was always happy to help us with questions and recommendations for the area. She also sells big (18 L) bottles of water for a good price (800 LKR) which was very convenient! The Jungle House is about 200m away from the main road, thus a little more quiet, but you can still walk everywhere. The room also came with a little kitchenette and kettle on the balcony and a fridge in the room. After having done extensive research on where to stay in ABay, we can confidently say that we found the best place! The cute cats living on the property are the cherry on the cake!

You know those experiences of insane kindness and welcomeness when you’re travelling that remind you why you travel- staying here is one of them! are absolute legends; so kind and helpful and just go above and beyond on multiple occasions. Logistically it’s also a great place; an easy walk to town and the beach but also very quiet so you can retreat from the hustle and bustle whenever you please. They have great wifi, drinking water, the rooms stay cool with or without aircon thanks to the all the beautiful trees and plant, bikes for hire, a kitchen to use, the owners have perfect English and probably a million other great things that I’ve forgotten. The rooms are humble and simple but everything you could need and a really good price in comparison to all the other accom in A bay. I was meant to stay 2 nights but have been here for a lot longer and will probably be here when you arrive. 20/10 recommend.
