We were so lucky to meet Ester and Tom, they are the best hosts and now friends!!!! They had other guest couples from Germany and two others from NZ at same time, so much fun time times to discuss so many topics (tried to avoid politics {;o))) ) . Again, they are amazing hosts; taking time in the evening to chat with us over a glass of wine. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a really comfy bed & lovely... I love the details of the room and building, warming towel rack, beautiful details on room trim and tiles, everything was so very well detailed. Our experience was amazing with the host, guests, and the property. We had such an absolutely wonderful time with our stay. Best Stay in NZ for us!!!! 10 of 10!! Ester and Tom .... THANK YOU for the wonderful and amazing stay!!!

Wonderful accommodation! Breakfast was extremely thoughtful and delicious. The whole stay exceeded our expectations. Views from the room are incredible, especially if you catch the sunrise. Location is great, can walk to centre of town. Do note: the driveway is very steep and long (it is a shared driveway for multiple houses) so walking back up may be difficult for some. This was our best accommodation in New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Maree and Mike (and Dougal)!

We loved everything. Kitty is a wonderful, friendly helpful host. Her breakfasts are amazing with the best homemade breads, particularly our favorite sourdough. Our cozy cottage had everything we needed, and the big beautiful pool surrounded by banks of flowers was so refreshing and welcome. Don't miss the good walk up to Bluff Hill for spectacular views of the port, town, and ocean. Walking down to town and back up may seem a challenge, but it's not. We did it several times. If you are a dog lover you will get an enthusiastic greeting from two adorable tiny Miniature schnauzers! We can't wait for a return visit.

Very well equipped, comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. Great location to visit family living locally. Very kind owner had milk and supplies ready for us too.
