The place is really cozy and pretty, sooo close to water, which made for a awesome experience, sleeping to the sound of waves and watching the ocean from my room. The staff is very nice, and helpful. Paola is a gem, she personally helped my father in law enter the water, who is really weak and has a hard time to walk, helped us get a cake and helped us out in every situation. The place has cool tours to offer with señor Milton. Lastly i met my amigo Totoro there who is the best doggy out there, a real Piraña with a heart of gold and the mind of a hunter. Hostel Paqaryi is right on the sea, you can literally fall out of bed and go for a swim. The rooms and sheets are clean and there i you get towels, toilet paper and soap. Wilmer, Vicki and the kids are a wonderful family and very accommodating. They can prepare meals for you if you request them and I had Vicki’s ceviche, which was amazing. If you want to cook there is a kitchen with a two ring hob, fridge and cooking utensils, as well as a coffee machine. Note that the tap water is not drinkable (which is the case all over Peru), so make sure that you bring or buy bottled water. You can also get a bottle from the hostel or there are plenty of shops in town. Even though I speak very little Spanish, we got by well with google translate, and I was able to understand and make myself understood. Arnold, the eldest can also teach surfing lessons in the morning, unfortunately as o was only there one night I couldn’t take him up on it as I had to leave the next day. There are hammocks which are set up right on the waterfront so a great way to laze around with a book. I had a great short stay and it was just what the doctor ordered before flying back to Lima.
