Excellent value for the money. The room is brand new with good quality remodeling while in a historic building adjacent to the church. The host, Patricia, was extremely welcoming and helpful. This was our best stay during our week-long Fishermen’s Trail hike

I paid 10 EUR extra for breakfast and it was very strange to only get 5 eggs, two with double yolks, all of them turned out to be raw; I had a problem with how to cook them because the hosts disappeared and there was only a coffee kettle in the room, but I got it sorted. On the outside door I found a bag of fresh bread delivered at night. There was milk, cheese and tasty marmalade in the fridge. The biggest surprise was the free bicycle with helmet and pump waiting for me in a nice patio. The ocean cliffs near Maria Vinagre are very beautiful, but the shortest trip is 3 km by bike. I liked the wild Praia da Carriagem approached from Rogil . In Rogil there is a very good country restaurant Da Batata Doce open late at night where all dishes, desserts and drinks contain sweet potatoes.

The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She made a lovely breakfast with homemade foods and she even made us a to-go pack when we couldn’t finish our cake. Plus it was the only place we stayed with Tea and kettle in the room 😃

quaint little place, very charming, very comfortable bed and pillows, can see the stars at night, natural pool, super friendly host, shared kitchen was great (some bedroom have their own kitchen too).

A great country-side getaway; quiet and lovely, surrounded by gardens and friendly pets/animals (chickens, cats, dogs). Vitor was an informative and generous host, who told us about the history of the house, made us tea fresh from the garden, and showed us two pathways, each to a different and gorgeous beach.
