Nestled within Taronga Zoo and overlooking Sydney Harbour, Wildlife Retreat at Taronga is an eco-retreat offering stylish accommodation in a relaxed bush setting. Located in Sydney, the property features a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Our stay was well beyond my expectations. Initially I was a little worried, as it was a little outside of my price range. I liked the idea that it was nonprofit and sustainable and I thought the proximity of the animals would be fun for my daughter. The staff was amazing...extremely helpful and kind and always went the extra mile to help us to feel welcome. This never happens, but the view was even better than what's listed on the site. We had a room facing the opera house and it was stunning...we also had an adorable koala outside our room constantly. Just like in the picture. Really. There were several extras that I hadn't anticipated...a morning and evening zoo walk and a tour of a little area made available only to guests. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell the zoo was working more as an animal sanctuary. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone. It's also extremely accessible, so my daughter and I were able to use it as a home base for exploring other parts of the city. We often came back with tons of sand between our toes and still had time to enjoy the view and the animals.

Located south of the Sydney CBD, the property is just a 4-minute train ride from Kingsford Smith Airport, while Green Square station is located just 100 m from the hotel, just 10 minutes’ drive from Sydney CBD and Sydney International Airport The location was right at the Green Square Station, which was only 10 minutes away from the airport and few minutes to Central by train. There was a supermarket just at the corner. We stayed for a week in a two-bedroom suite, which was very spacious and well equipped. It was quiet, safe and spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping came every other day and bathroom amenities, dish washing liquid and laundry powder were refilled generously. The house staffs responded to all questions 24 hours and worked all the way to make us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly come back for future visits.

It is a 5-minute walk from both the Macquarie Nature Reserve and the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. the location of this property is fantastic. Within walking distance to Flynns Beach and driving distance to everything in Port Macquarie. It is a good size with a large kitchen, dining room, living room and a very comfortable king bed. The shower is lovely. We have stayed here several times and always request the same room as we love to sit in bed and look out to the creek/forest area out the back. Our request has always been granted.
